    Abstract: A leakage current protection device with an illumination function, including a shell, a movement assembly in the shell, power input and output assemblies coupled to the movement assembly, and an illumination assembly disposed inside the shell, which includes: an illumination control board electrically coupled to the power input or output assembly; a sensing unit coupled to the illumination control board and configured to sense an ambient condition outside the shell to generate a sensing output signal; a light emitting unit coupled to the control board, and controlled by the control board to turn on or off in response to the sensing output signal; and a light guide unit, formed by an operating element partially protruding out of the shell and disposed adjacent the light emitting unit, configured to guide the illumination light emitted by the light emitting unit out of the shell.     Abstract: An LCDI device includes a shell, a movement unit, and a wire bundle assembly. The shell includes a base and an upper cover connected to each other. The movement unit is disposed in the base, and includes at least one connecting conductor. A first end of the wire bundle assembly is disposed in the upper cover and includes at least one shield detection line, where the shield detection line is electrically coupled to the connecting conductor. The shield detection line includes a connecting terminal at the first end of the wire bundle assembly which is configured to received and retain the connecting conductor inserted therein. The structure of the LCDI enables fast and secure assembling of the wire bundle assembly and movement unit, and eliminates the need for internal re-adjustment of the shield detection lines after assembling, which promotes automation of large scale production.

    Abstract: A power plug with LCDI includes a shell, multiple input insertion prongs partially exposed to an exterior of the shell, a movement assembly disposed in the shell and coupled to the multiple input insertion prongs, a male end assembly and a female end assembly both disposed in the shell, and multiple output conductors. A first end of the male end assembly is connected to the movement assembly and electrically coupled to the multiple input insertion prongs via the movement assembly; a second end of the male end assembly is inserted into a first end of the female end assembly; a second end of the female end assembly is electrically coupled to the multiple output conductors; and the movement assembly is configured to establish or cut off an electrical connection between the multiple input insertion prongs and the multiple output conductors.     Abstract: A power plug includes a shell, input insertion plates, output power lines, a push button on the shell, and a trip assembly inside the shell for controlling electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The trip assembly includes a light emitting element, electrical coupling terminals, and a drive member mechanically coupled to the push button and configured to, in response to a pressing of the push button, control electrical coupling of the electrical coupling terminals, which in turn controls the electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The drive member includes a reflective portion that reflects a part of the light from the light emitting element to the push button as an indicator light. The dual function drive member that accomplishes both mechanical coupling and light transmission reduces the number of components. A device with an electrical control circuit is also disclosed.

    Abstract: This invention provides a fireproof separator board, which is made of a flame-retardant, high temperature resistant material and disposed within an insulating casing of an electrical device, for preventing the heat generated by the electrical components of the electrical device from being conducted to the insulating casing. This invention also provides a plug-based circuit interrupter that includes the fireproof separator board. The fireproof separator board and the plug-based circuit interrupter of this invention can effectively prevent high temperature and fire caused by the electrical components that could melt the casing.

    Abstract: An arc fault circuit interrupter includes: an insulating casing, electrical input terminals and electrical output terminals, first and second electrical path connected between the electrical input terminals and electrical output terminals, and a movement mechanism. The movement mechanism includes: first and second moving contact arms, electrically coupled to the first and second electrical paths, respectively; a control circuit board; an arc detection mechanism, electrically coupled to the control circuit board, for detecting an arc signal and causing the control circuit board to generate a trip signal; a tripping mechanism, electrically coupled to the control circuit board, for receiving the trip signal to disconnect the electrical coupling between the first moving contact arm and the first electrical path and/or the electrical coupling between the second moving contact arm and the second electrical path. The device can immediately cut off the power when detecting an arc signal to prevent fire hazard.

    Abstract: A safety shield assembly for a power receptacle includes a frame having openings corresponding to socket holes of the power receptacle, and a sliding block assembly and a resilient member disposed in the frame. The sliding block assembly include a sliding block body with two inclined surfaces, at least one of which having a slot to receive a wear-resistant block. In the initial state, the resilient member urges the sliding block assembly to cover the openings. The frame further includes a position limiting member and a balancing support member. When an inserted object pushes on only one of the two inclined surfaces, the position limiting member limits a sliding motion of the sliding block assembly; when two inserted objects simultaneously push on the two inclined surfaces, the sliding block assembly is balanced on the balancing support member and slides along the frame to expose the openings.

    Abstract: A leakage current protection device (such as a power plug) for an electrical appliance includes a shell and a trip assembly inside the shell. The shell includes an upper cover and a base cover joined together, and either the upper cover or the base cover includes a first cover and a removable second cover. The removable second cover spatially corresponds to a tail portion of the trip assembly; when it is removed, the tail portion is exposed to allow a power cord to be connected to the leakage current protection device. By using a removable second cover, the cord can be conveniently assembled with the device when the device is installed on the electrical appliance, allowing the to be shipped without the cord. This can reduce the packed size of the device for easier shipping and storage, as well as lowering cost. It also makes the device more versatile.

The assembly includes a frame, and a sliding block and a resilient member disposed in the frame. The frame has multiple openings corresponding to multiple socket holes of the power receptacle, a position limiting member, and a balancing support member. The sliding block has a sliding block base, two protection ramps disposed in the base and spaced apart, and two metal reinforcement members joined to and formed integrally with the two protection ramps to cover their inclined surfaces. When a power plug is inserted into the socket holes, two prongs of the plug push against the reinforcement members on the protection ramps and the sliding block slides away. When an object is inserted into only one socket hole, the balancing support member and position limiting member cooperate to prevent the sliding block from sliding.
