A display apparatus including a backlight module, a filtering module and a display panel is provided. The backlight module includes a plurality of sets of light emitting devices. Each set of light emitting devices includes at least one first color light emitting device and at least one second color light emitting device. The filtering module is disposed on a transmission path of light emitted by the plurality of sets of light emitting devices and includes a plurality of sets of filtering units. Each set of filtering units is configured to allow light emitted by one set of light emitting devices to pass through. The display panel is disposed on the transmission path of the light emitted by the plurality of sets of light emitting devices. The backlight module turns on the plurality of sets of light emitting devices by turns.

A stereoscopic image display including an image displaying unit and an optical grating is provided. The image displaying unit has a black matrix and pixels surround by the black matrix, and each pixel has a width P in a first direction. The optical grating is disposed corresponding to the image displaying unit, wherein the optical grating comprises a plurality of constitutional groups arranged in the first direction. Each of constitutional groups comprises a plurality of slits having the same width W to expose the corresponding pixels, the width P of pixel and the width W of slit satisfy a specific relationship, so as to reduce the morie phenomenon and provide excellent stereo image quality.

An auto-stereoscopic type 3D-display including a transmissive display panel, a dynamic backlight module and a light guiding unit is provided. The dynamic backlight module is disposed at a side of the transmissive display panel and includes a plurality of bar-shaped light sources parallel to each other and a miniature lens. Each of the bar-shaped light sources includes an illumination region and the width of the illumination region is W1. The miniature lens is disposed between the transmissive display panel and the bar-shaped light sources. An image formed from each of the bar-shaped light sources is outside the miniature lens and has the width of W2, wherein W1/W2=n, and n is an integer greater than 1. In addition, the light guiding unit is disposed between the transmissive display panel and the miniature lens such that the image formed from each of the bar-shaped light sources is directed to different viewing domains.
Abstract:
A two mode image displaying apparatus including a light source, an image dividing unit, a displaying unit, and a control unit is provided. The light source is adapted to provide a light beam. The image dividing unit is adapted to be switched to include a three-dimensional (3D) mode area and a two-dimensional (2D) mode area. The light source is adapted to be switched to include a first area and a second area. The image dividing unit and the displaying unit are disposed on the transmission path of the light beam. The control unit executes a boundary brightness compensation by adjusting brightness of at least one of the boundary of a 3D image area and a 2D image area of the displaying unit and the boundary of the first and second areas of the light source. An adjustment method of image brightness is also provided.

A video player system includes a three-dimensional field detector and controller module for detecting a three-dimensional field of a video data to generate at least one of a detection signal and a control signal based on the three-dimensional field detected. The video data includes data for at least one image and the three-dimensional field within the image. The system also includes a display recomposition module coupled with the three-dimensional field detector and controller module, and the display recomposition module generates a recomposed three-dimensional field within the at least one image based on the detection signal and at least one of a plurality of display parameters associated with a display panel. The display panel is coupled with the three-dimensional field detector and controller module and the display recomposition module and displays the at least one image with the recomposed three-dimensional field based on at least one of the control signal and the display parameters.

Each of constitutional groups comprises a plurality of periodically changed structures, and each periodically changed structure in same constitutional group changes its size along the first direction.
