A locking device (5) is proved to lock the loading plate (3) to a closed position. The pick up cap (22) comprises a flat suction surface (220) and at least one latch (222) for latching the loading plate (3) so that the pick up cap (22) can be attached to the loading plate (3) when the loading plate (3) is in a closed position, and detached from the socket body (20) when the loading plate (3) moves away from the socket body to an open position.

Thus, even if the at least two terminals are laterally and obliquely movable with respect to an end of the passageway upon the pressure of the IC package toward the IC socket, effective electrical connection between the IC package and the printed circuit board are also established through the use of the IC socket due to having every two terminals of one passageway employed for electrically mating with a common contact pad of the IC package or a common conductive element (31) of the printed circuit board.

摘要： The present invention provides an electrical connector for establishing electrical connection between an IC module and a PCB. The electrical connector comprises an insulative housing and a set of electrical contacts received in the housing. The insulative housing has a mating surface and a mounting surface opposite thereto.
