    摘要: A projection apparatus including an illumination system, a display device and an imaging system is described. The illumination system includes a light source for providing a light beam and an optical mirror disposed on a transmission path of the light beam. In particular, an angle is existed between the optical mirror and the transmission path, and the visible light is reflected by the optical mirror while the ultraviolet light and infrared light pass through the optical mirror. The display device is disposed on a transmission path of the visible light so as to form an image beam. The imaging system is disposed on a transmission path of the image beam.

    摘要: An illumination system including a light source module, a first integral lens array, a cylindrical lens array, a polarization beam splitter converter, a cylindrical lens, a condenser lens, and a collimator lens is provided. The light source module is suitable for providing a white light, and the first integral lens array, the cylindrical lens array, the polarization beam splitter converter, the cylindrical lens, the condenser lens, and the collimator lens are sequentially disposed on a optical path of the white light. Thus, the cylindrical lens array can adjust the shape of the light spots which are formed by focusing the white light for the light spots nearly completely passing through the polarization beam splitter converter to increase the light utilization of the illumination system. Additionally, a projection system including the illumination system mentioned above and a liquid crystal display panel is also provided.

    摘要: A circuit for compensating color shift of a color sequential display method includes an image processing unit and a timing control circuit. The image processing unit includes a gray level generation unit, a pre-processing unit, and a color compensation unit. The gray level generation generates first gray levels of red, green, and blue sub-pixels. The pre-processing unit generates a pure color uniformity of a display panel and a color compensation value. The color compensation unit generates a color saturation of a pixel, a compensation difference of the pixel, and gray levels of red, green, and blue sub-pixels of a compensated pixel. The timing control circuit sequences the gray levels of the red, green, and blue sub-pixels of the compensated pixel according to the color sequential display method, and outputs the gray levels of the red, green, and blue sub-pixels of the compensated pixel to the display panel.

    摘要: A color adjustment method for a color sequential liquid crystal display (LCD) having at least one white light source is provided. In the color adjustment method, firstly, an original image signal is converted into a target color point located in a chromaticity diagram in a color space. Then, a modified image signal having white data is calculated according to the original image signal. Afterwards, the modified image signal is converted into a main color point located in the chromaticity diagram by using a matrix group. Then, a plurality of subfield data are calculated according to the main color point and the target color point. The subfield data are used for enabling the main color point to fall on the target color point.

The line data sorting unit buffers pixels/sub-pixels as a matrix, and loads the buffered pixels/sub-pixels line-by-line with respect to the matrix, where the pixels/sub-pixels are arranged and read in parallel according to sizes of lines of the matrix and a number of simultaneously-activated gate lines of a scanning driver.

    摘要: A color sequential control method adapted to a field sequential color display is provided. The field sequential color display includes a display panel and a backlight module. The backlight module provides a backlight source to the display panel, wherein the backlight source includes a red backlight, a green backlight and a blue backlight. The color sequential control method includes following steps. First, a frame period of the display panel is sequentially divided into a first, a second and a third sub-frame periods. Next, a cyan backlight and the red backlight are provided in sequence during a first backlight period of the first sub-frame period. Then, a magenta backlight and the green backlight are provided in sequence during a second backlight period of the second sub-frame period. Finally, a yellow backlight and the blue backlight are provided in sequence during a third backlight period of the third sub-frame period.
