    摘要: Amplitude, phase and frequency of a sine wave to be generated are calculated on the basis of feature quantity s1 delivered to feature quantity detecting means (2), and are sent to initialization means (3). The initialization means (3) calculates first two points of the sine wave to send the points thus calculated to oscillator (sine wave generating means) (4) as initial value s4. The oscillator (4) sequentially calculates values of respective sample points of waveform by using recurrence formula in accordance with initial value or values instructed from the initialization means (3) to thereby generate a sine wave signal. Thus, sine wave generation is performed without performing modulo-addressing.

    摘要: A playback apparatus is able to present song categories to the user that are suited to the current environmental noise. An audio pickup picks up noise data of the surrounding environment. A noise analyzer analyzes the noise data, and then extracts characteristic quantities expressing the characteristics of the noise data. A noise categorizer categorizes the noise data on the basis of the extracted noise data characteristic quantities. A content category database stores content data recorded onto a recording medium in association with categories based on characteristic quantities of the content data. A content category selector cross-references the noise data categorization result with the content category database, and on the basis thereof, selects a plurality of content data categories from among the categorized content data recorded onto the recording medium. A display unit then displays the selected plurality of content data categories.

    摘要: An earplug unit includes a signal processing unit. The earplug unit is inserted into an external auditory canal and then used. In the earplug unit, a speaker is arranged at an eardrum side, and a microphone is arranged at a side opposite to the eardrum side. The microphone collects a sound in which a user's head shape or auricle characteristic is reflected. An output signal of the microphone is amplification-processed by a volume adjusting unit and then supplied to the speaker. An amplified sound is output from the speaker. A frequency characteristic is smoothed in a band larger than at least an audible frequency band in a system from the microphone to the speaker.
