    摘要: A copper strip or sheet having a red-brown to dark brown cover layer. The cover layer includes a first layer of Cu.sub.2 O which adheres to the base metal, with a thickness in the range of 0.05 to 5 .mu.m, preferably in the range of 0.1 to 1 .mu.m, and a second layer of CuO arranged on top of the first layer, with a thickness between 1 and 100 nm, preferably with a thickness between 10 and 50 nm. The cover layer is applied by heat treating the copper base to form a Cu.sub.2 O layer, followed by a second heat treatment to form a CuO layer. Alternatively, the cover layer is applied by heat treating the copper base in an oxygen containing atmosphere followed by treatment with an aqueous solution of a salt which produces an alkali reaction. The resulting copper strip or sheet of the invention is well suited for use in the construction sector.

    摘要: By applying a reaction solution containing an aqueous solution of copper salts and salts of inorganic acids, to a pre-oxidized or partially already patinated copper surface, it is possible to produce a patina layer on copper objects, either directly at the construction site or also at the factory. The reaction solution is particularly well-suited for pre-oxidized or partially already patinated copper surfaces. Copper surfaces, which have not been completely green-patinated, or have been damaged, also obtain a uniform patina layer when the reaction solution is used. The reaction solution can be changed in its consistency and adapted to the conditions of use in each case by adding wetting agents or thickeners. The reaction solution can be applied using a brush, roller or spraying device, and can be stored and processed at ambient temperature.

    摘要: In the method for stabilizing an artificial patina layer produced on a copper panel, a transparent cover layer consisting of water glass and hydroxycellulose is applied onto the patina layer immediately after it is produced. The cover layer can consist of sodium or potassium water glass and hydroxycellulose, and is applied onto an artificially patinated copper panel by either immersion or spraying. After immersion or spraying, the cover layer is dried. This occurs in an atmosphere with a temperature of approximately 20.degree. C. to 150.degree. C., within a time period of approximately one to one and a half hours.

    摘要: A method is provided for forming an inorganic layer on a surface of a copper material, made of copper or of a copper-based alloy: a browning anodic oxidation process is performed on the copper material in an electrolytic bath containing only an alkali (for example NaOH) at a specified concentration in aqueous solution, under controlled condition of temperature and anodic current density and for a period of time suitable to form a continuous layer basically formed of copper (I) oxide (Cu2O): layers highly adherent to the copper substrate and having good mechanical behavior are produced: different colors and optical properties may be obtained by controlling the process conditions so as to influence the crystalline form of the Cu2O layers.
