Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for balancing energy usage. A method can include obtaining energy consumption patterns of a plurality of devices that consume energy in an environment from a plurality of data sources. The method can further include analyzing operational patterns of the plurality of devices that are dynamically controllable and associated with the environment to generate device data. The method can further include building and maintaining multiple domain ontologies for sustainability profiles. The method can further include developing a profile for energy consumption for at least one device of the plurality of devices, wherein the profile is based on the energy consumption patterns, the device data, and at least one sustainability profile of the multiple domain ontologies.

Abstract: Methods are provided in which a collaboration server connects at least two participants via respective user devices to a collaboration session. The one or more customized graphical items are displayed in a foreground or a background associated with a collaboration space of first participant of the at least two participants. The collaboration server further detects a selection, by one of the respective user devices, of a graphical item from the one or more customized graphical items displayed in the collaboration space and performs at least one action associated with the graphical item during the collaboration session based on detecting the selection of the graphical item.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for improving the environmental sustainability of a networking device and/or a networking system. In one example, a sustainability server obtains power consumption data of a networking device on a per-plane basis. Based on the power consumption data, the sustainability server computes an individual sustainability score that indicates a level of environmental sustainability of the networking device. The sustainability server further analyzes the power consumption data on the per-plane basis. In response to analyzing the power consumption data on the per-plane basis, the sustainability server provides a recommendation to implement a change to a configuration or operating parameter of the networking device, or to a networking system that includes the networking device, to improve the individual sustainability score.
