    摘要: A cartonless recyclable packages for protectively enclosing a product, such as photographic film, comprises a recyclable plastic container and mating cap with recyclably compatible plastic labels thereon bearing product information. One such label on the cap has readily tearable tab portions extending therefrom and tautly secured to the container, to tear apart when the cap is first removed. A second label, secured to the container and overlapping the tearable tab portions, includes inner and outer sheets separably adhered together. The outer sheet can be peeled back to reveal information on the interfacing surfaces of both sheets, and then re-adhered to the inner sheet. A third label, separably adhered to the first label on the cap, may be peeled away and re-adhered to some other surface for reference after the product has been removed. A thumb tab on the cap, to facilitate cap removal, is used also to orient the container and cap for appropriate placement of the labels, and to orient the resulting package in a cooperating displaying and dispensing device. That device comprises an upstanding, open-ended, transparent, tubular chute having a longitudinal slot extending down a rear side thereof and configured to receive the package through its open top end, with a thumb tab projecting rearwardly through the slot, thereby orienting the package labels to face forwardly in a desired display direction. The package is gravity-fed to the open bottom end, where it is supported and oriented for convenient removal.

    摘要: A light-tight enclosure (10) for storing and dispensing a roll of photosensitive web material (32) directly in a cooperating apparatus without need for an auxiliary cartridge. The web is wound about a cylindrical core (34, 68, 74) having flush, closed opposite ends (36) and an axial bore (38) in each end. The core may be closed by integral ends or by fullfitting plugs (76). The enclosure comprises a flexible opaque bag (12) with opposite sidewalls (16) extending between opposing rearward and forward portions (18 and 20) and between opposing upper and lower portions (22 and 24). Each sidewall has a central aperture therein congruent with each core end. The rearward portion defines a closable opening for receiving the roll. A shallow neck portion (26) projects from the forward portion to an end (28) thereof defining an exit slot (30) for dispensing the web material. Mounting pins (40) are disposed in both axial bores and extend through the apertures in the sidewalls, and flanges (44) on the shafts (42) of the pins outside the bag capture the sidewall material light-tightly between the flanges and the ends of the cores. The mounting pins have shouldered portions (48) outboard of the flanges which are adapted to mate rotatably with saddles (64) in a storage and dispensing stand (52), which stand can be adapted to mate operationally with the dispensing region of a printing or processing machine.

    摘要: A tray and dispenser for holding and dispensing individual film packets from a stack of film packets provided in a tray. The tray comprises a bottom wall, an first end wall, a second end wall, and two substantially parallel side walls. The side and end walls extend upwardly from the bottom wall and terminate in an upper rim to define an open top and a recess for receiving a stack of film packets. The second end wall is provided with a support surface for supporting a stack of film packets placed in the recess when the tray is placed in the vertical position. The bottom wall of the tray is provided with ribs for spacing the stack of film packets a predetermined distance from the surface of the bottom wall and forming a rear space behind the bottom packet. The second end wall is also provided with an access opening for allowing access to the packet disposed on the bottom of the stack of film packets when the tray is placed in the substantial vertical position. The dispenser comprises a shell support structure which forms an internal chamber for receiving at least the lower portion of the tray and holding the tray in a substantially vertical position. A stripping member is provided for removing in seriatim the film packets from the recess in the tray. The stripper includes a stripper member having a configuration for insertion into the access opening in the bottom end wall and the rear space of the tray for removing the bottom packet.

    摘要: A light-tight enclosure for storing and dispensing a roll of photosensitive web material wound about a hollow cylindrical core having open opposite ends. The enclosure comprises a flexible opaque bag with opposite sidewalls extending between opposing rearward and forward portions and opposing upper and lower portions. Each sidewall has a central aperture therein congruent with each core end. The rearward portion defines a closable opening for receiving the roll. A shallow neck portion projects from the forward portion to an end thereof defining an exit slot for dispensing the web material. A collar fits tightly inside each core end, with an annular flange thereon facing axially outward. An annular ring is attachable to each collar in spaced, inward-facing relation to the flange. The roll is first positioned in the bag, through its closable opening, so that the web material extends into the neck portion and out through the exit slot, and so that a central portion of the collar at each core end projects outwardly through the adjacent sidewall aperture, with its flange left inside the sidewall and facing an annular portion thereof surrounding the aperture. The annular ring is then attached to the outwardly projecting portion of the collar in closely spaced, inward-facing relation to the sidewall annular portion, which is thus loosely trapped between the flange and the ring. The bag opening is then closed, and the bag neck portion is folded back and secured against the bag forward portion.

In the valve closed position the end of the sealing member is situated in the barrel orifice, preventing the dispensing of the gelatinous material; in the valve open position the barrel is pushed away from the sealing member, allowing the material to be dispensed. The barrel returns to the valve closed position after the material has been dispensed. In use, the material is introduced into the housing; weighing the valve assembly before and after dispensing enables the quantity of dispensed material to be verified.
