    摘要: An improved process is disclosed for the treatment of molybdenite concentrate to remove impurities, such as copper and lead therefrom. According to this process, ferrous chloride liquor is introduced into a reactor which is made of a material that can withstand leaching with the use of ferric chloride at elevated temperatures and pressures. Sodium or calcium chloride may also be added to the reactor which is then sealed and subjected to chlorination until the rise in temperature, due to the exothermicity of the reaction, produces the desired concentration of the ferric ion to leach the impurities present in the concentrate to a desired level. Upon completion of the chlorination, the molybdenite concentrate is introduced into the reactor and is leached therein. Finally, the resulting pulp is filtered and washed to obtain the desired purified product.

    摘要: A solar collector compressor apparatus for heating and compression of a gas is disclosed in several forms. In one form the compressor is formed of serially connected solar heated heat exchanger tubes. The tubes are connected by pressure responsive valves. In an alternate form solar heated compression tubes are located at the focus of a concentrating reflector. In an additional embodiment a centrally located reflector progressively directs solar energy onto a serially connected ring of absorber units each of which mechanically compresses a gas.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for indicating the level of liquid in a tank or the like whereby a transducer is mounted on a pipe above the liquid for producing, in response to a trigger signal, an ultrasonic pulse which is transmitted toward and reflected to the transducer first from a calibration target in the pipe above the liquid and then from the liquid so that the transducer produces echo pulses in response to receipt thereof. In one embodiment the calibration echo signal is applied to a logic circuit together with the output of a counter which is incremented to a predetermined count following the trigger signal by pulses from a voltage controlled oscillator so that the logic produces a control signal indicating the difference in time between when the calibration echo is received and when the counter reaches its predetermined count and which event occurs first. The logic then varies the frequency of the oscillator to reduce the difference. A further counter is enabled upon receipt of the calibration echo signal to accumulate a count of pulses from the oscillator and disabled upon receipt of the liquid echo signal so that the count indicates the liquid level.
