摘要: Methods are disclosed for leaching metal-containing materials, such as those contained in the cathode of spent lithium-ion batteries, using a leach solution of an amino acid and a reducing agent. The metal-containing material is treated with the leach solution to recover at least one metal. For example, when the metal-containing material is lithium cobalt (III) oxide (LiCoO2), leaching with the leach solution of the present invention enables the recovery of the lithium and/or cobalt metal.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method for recycling a spent lithium-ion battery, including the following steps: sandwiching a cathode of the spent lithium-ion battery with a conductive acid-resistant material as a cathode of a primary battery system; sandwiching an anode of the spent lithium-ion battery with a conductive acid-resistant material as an anode of the primary battery system; injecting an acid solution into a chamber of the primary battery system; and carrying out, after an electrochemical reaction is completed, solid-liquid separation on a mixed liquor in the chamber. The present invention further discloses an electrochemical system for recycling a spent lithium-ion battery. The method for recycling a spent lithium-ion battery in the present invention requires only dismantlement of cathode and anode materials, without a series of complex pretreatment operations on the cathode materials of the spent lithium-ion battery. In addition, by the method, the cathodes and anodes of the spent lithium-ion battery can be recycled at the same time, and valuable elements can be separated, which is greatly improved compared with the electrolytic leaching method. Moreover, there is no need to add an external power supply, which saves energy and can also output electricity.

摘要: A sequential treatment process for primary and secondary copper sulphide heap leaching such as Chalcopyrite, Bornite, Chalcosine, Coveline or other sulfide and mixed copper ores is provided. Specifically, the treatment process consists of a sequential treatment of crushed ore with size p80 less than 38 mm, preferably under 19 mm, which is arranged in a dynamic heap or primary leaching heap, in which once leached in the dynamic heap, the ore is removed from the heap and transferred to a new heap to be subjected to a secondary leaching process in a permanent heap, where the leaching process in all its stages is carried out under increased concentrations of chlorine ion, [Cl−]>40 g/L, which improves the thermodynamics and physic-chemical balances that the solutions of the process are established, which generates important benefits on the metallurgical performance of this sequential treatment.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for recycling lead-acid batteries, and more specifically, relates to purifying and recycling the lead content from lead-acid batteries. A system includes a reactor that receives and mixes a lead-bearing material waste, a carboxylate source, and a recycled liquid component to form a leaching mixture yielding a lead carboxylate precipitate. The system also includes a phase separation device coupled to the reactor, wherein the phase separation device isolates the lead carboxylate precipitate from a liquid component of the leaching mixture. The system further includes a closed-loop liquid recycling system coupled to the phase separation device and to the reactor, wherein the closed-loop liquid recycling system receives the liquid component isolated by the phase separation device and recycles a substantial portion of the received liquid component back to the reactor as the recycled liquid component.

摘要: Recycling of charge material for an NMC (Ni, Mn, Co) battery recovers lithium from a recycled battery stream by roasting a black mass from the recycled stream in a partial oxygen environment at a temperature based on the thermal reduction of cathode material and reacting carbon in an anode material with lithium in the cathode material, and then leaching the lithium from the roasted black mass for forming a lithium leach solution. Lithium is recovered by heating the lithium leach solution, precipitating the lithium carbonate based on decreased solubility of the leached lithium carbonate at the increased temperature.

摘要: Provided is a method for enabling recovery of metal element leaching capacity of a deep eutectic solvent used for leaching a metal element from an ore containing the metal element. A method for recycling a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent disclosed here includes: preparing a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent used for leaching a metal element from an ore containing the metal element; and bringing the hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent and hydrochloric acid into contact with each other. In the hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent, a hydrogen bond donor is a carboxy group-containing compound, and a hydrogen bond acceptor is chloride salt. The amount of use of the hydrochloric acid is such that hydrogen chloride is 1 mole or more with respect to 1 mole of the hydrogen bond acceptor.
