摘要: A warhead fuze is attached within the warhead casing in such a manner thatressure buildup will cause the fuze mechanism to be ejected from its housing. The fuze and its associated booster is contained in a cup attached to an end cap which may be threaded to receive a closure cap. The joint between the booster cup and the end cap is made in such a manner that pressure buildup within the cup will case the joint to fail with a resultant expulsion of said booster cup away from the main explosive cavity.

摘要: A warhead comprising an explosive charge surrounded by discrete individualetal fragments is increased in effectiveness by the addition of pyrophoric fragment material combined therewith. For this purpose, misch metal or zirconium-tin sleeves are placed around or within the fragmentation layers or, alternatively, a percentage of the ferrous metal cubes are replaced with a number of preformed zirconium fragments.

摘要: A warhead casing is designed to protect the high explosive material therein from open fires or other sources of intense heat which might cause premature explosion of the warhead. The warhead casing is relieved throughout the greater part of its outer circumference and may be then counter-relieved over a slightly lesser distance. The relieved area is filled with an ablative material covered by a protective intumescent coating, for example, of fire resistant, impregnated cloth.

The booster explosive, thus, is encased in a low temperature melting plastic and the main housing is vented by boring a number of passages through the major thread diameter shoulder of the fuze case.

摘要: A high rate multiplexing system which is capable of operating on multiple channels while ensuring synchronization of the system operation. The system includes a basic timing network for synchronizing the system operation. Automatic phase adjusters are used to re-align data signals with a clock signal whenever data transitions occur while the data is being sampled. Synchronizing circuits are used to insert synchronization data bits into the multiplexed data streams where appropriate. A medium rate multiplexer generates two different data streams, certain clock signals and strobe signals. A higher rate multiplexer is capable of operation in different modes, including but not limited to wideband operation or narrow band operation. A Manchester encoder combines data output signals into a single aggregate data stream.

摘要: A multiplexer system which operates as a standard multiplexer as well as a proportional multiplexer by providing typical multiplexing operation by one circuit portion and proportional multiplexing operation by other portions of the circuit wherein the multiplexer system can interface with a plurality of users or user devices in such a way that data streams between the user devices and the multiplexer system can be reallocated so as to enhance data transfer irrespective of the clock-to-data relationship such that no data is lost during circuit operation. The proportional MUX can be selectively controlled by a microprocessor.
