Abstract: A method of preparing a preformed fiber optic circuit for later termination to at least one fiber optic connector includes providing a substrate for supporting a plurality of optical fibers, the substrate including at least one layer of flexible foil, wherein the flexible foil may be formed from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) according to one example and peeling a layer including at least the optical fibers from the at least one layer of flexible foil.

Abstract: A multi-fiber cable assembly includes a pigtail segments spliced to a trunk segment using multiple mass fusion splices. The splices are disposed at axially spaced positions within a hollow, flexible conduit. Fibers of the trunk segment are axially fixed at a first demarcation region disposed at the first end of the conduit. Fibers of the pigtail segments are axially fixed at a separate, second demarcation region disposed at the second end of the conduit.

Abstract: A fiber optic telecommunications device includes a frame and a fiber optic module including a rack mount portion, a center portion, and a main housing portion. The rack mount portion is stationarily coupled to the frame, the center portion is slidably coupled to the rack mount portion along a sliding direction, and the main housing portion is slidably coupled to the center portion along the sliding direction. The main housing portion of the fiber optic module includes fiber optic connection locations for connecting cables to be routed through the frame. The center portion of the fiber optic module includes a radius limiter for guiding cables between the main housing portion and the frame, the center portion also including a latch for unlatching the center portion for slidable movement. Slidable movement of the center portion with respect to the rack mount portion moves the main housing portion with respect to the frame along the sliding direction.

Abstract: A connection interface includes a base bracket and a cable connection carrier (e.g., module, panel, etc.). The cable connection carrier has a front wall to which one or more cable connection components (e.g., optical components, electrical components, and/or hybrid components) are mounted. The cable connection carrier may angle the cable connection components relative to an open front of the base bracket. Some cable connection carriers may be snap-fit to the base bracket for easy installation. Other cable connection carriers are movable (e.g., pivotal) relative to the base bracket.

Abstract: A break-out assembly includes an enclosure defining a first port at the first end to receive an optical cable and a second port at the second end to receive a plurality of break-out cables. Each port leads to the interior of the enclosure. A cable retention region defined within the enclosure at the second end is configured to enable the break-out cables to each secure to the enclosure at one of a plurality of axial locations. Certain types of break-out assemblies include other cable retention regions to axially and/or rotationally secure the optical cable to the enclosure. A splice retention region is disposed within the enclosure between the first port and the second cable retention region. The splice retention region receives optical splices at which optical fibers of the optical cable are spliced to optical fibers of the break-out cables.
