摘要: A fiber optic telecommunications device includes a frame and a fiber optic module including a rack mount portion, a center portion, and a main housing portion. The rack mount portion is stationarily coupled to the frame, the center portion is slidably coupled to the rack mount portion along a sliding direction, and the main housing portion is slidably coupled to the center portion along the sliding direction. The main housing portion of the fiber optic module includes fiber optic connection locations for connecting cables to be routed through the frame. The center portion of the fiber optic module includes a radius limiter for guiding cables between the main housing portion and the frame, the center portion also including a latch for unlatching the center portion for slidable movement. Slidable movement of the center portion with respect to the rack mount portion moves the main housing portion with respect to the frame along the sliding direction.

摘要: Fiber management assemblies for telecommunications closures. The assembly includes a frame adapted to conform to the wall of a housing piece of a closure. A fiber management tray is pivotally coupled to the frame. The frame supports the tray and spaces the tray away from fiber optic connectors positioned in connector ports defined by the closure. In addition, the pivotability of the tray relative to the frame can provide access to the connectors and/or connector ports without disrupting fiber management on the tray itself.

摘要: A fiber optic cassette includes a body defining a front and an opposite rear. A cable entry location is defined on the body for a cable to enter the cassette, wherein a plurality of optical fibers from the cable extend into the cassette and form terminations at non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body. A flexible substrate is positioned between the cable entry location and the non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body, the flexible substrate rigidly supporting the plurality of optical fibers. Each of the non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body includes a ferrule, a ferrule hub supporting the ferrule, and a split sleeve surrounding the ferrule.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a cable assembly including a sleeve and a plurality of cables that extend through the sleeve. The cable assembly also includes a grommet positioned within the sleeve at a location offset from one end of the sleeve. The grommet forms a dam location. The cable assembly further includes a bonding material at least partially filling a region of the sleeve located between the dam location and the end of the sleeve. The bonding material bonds the fiber optic cables and the grommet relative to the sleeve. The cables extend through the grommet and the bonding material and include break-out portions that extend outwardly beyond the end of the sleeve.

摘要: The disclosed fiber optic cable splice case may include (1) an outer enclosure with a plurality of cable funnels defining paths from an exterior to an interior of the outer enclosure, (2) a clamp connected to the exterior of the outer enclosure, where the clamp attaches the outer enclosure to a powerline conductor, and (3) an inner enclosure positioned at least partially within, and rotatably coupled to, the outer enclosure, where the inner enclosure defines (a) a splice cavity within the inner enclosure, where the cavity is configured to store an optical fiber splice tray for coupling corresponding optical fibers of each of a pair of fiber optic cable segments and (b) a cable channel about an exterior of the inner enclosure, where the cable channel carries a portion of each of the pair of segments between the funnels and the cavity. Various other components and methods are also disclosed.

摘要: A telecommunications device includes a rack defining right, left, front, rear, top, and bottom sides, the rack defining mounting locations in a stacked arrangement from the bottom to the top, the mounting locations for receiving modules defining connection locations. A cable storage bay is located at one of the right and left sides of the rack and defines front and rear cable storage areas. Both the front and rear cable storage areas include cable management structures for managing and guiding cables toward and away from the connection locations. A trough is defined at the top of the rack, the trough configured for extending cables to other racks in a front to rear direction, the trough also defining a cable drop-off communicating with the cable storage bay for extending cables to either of the front or rear cable storage areas for further connection to the connection locations.
