摘要： A technique to place a completion assembly in a well while maintaining the well in an underbalanced condition includes running a plug on a deployment tool to a desired depth in the well. The technique includes setting the plug in the well; retrieving the deployment tool; and running the completion assembly on a setting tool into the well to engage the plug. The technique includes releasing the plug; running the completion assembly and plug to a desired depth in the well; and setting the completion assembly in the well. The setting tool is retrieved, which includes retrieving the plug.

摘要： A mounting plate enables the bracket of a conventional door closer to be removably retained to a door casing or the like. The mounting plate has a pair of tabs that define slots for slidingly receiving the flanges of the closer bracket. A stop permits entry of the closer bracket into the mounting plate slots from only one direction and also limits sliding in that direction. Bumps on the mounting plate cooperate with the closer bracket mounting holes to loosely restrain the closer bracket from sliding out of the mounting plate in the other direction. After the mounting plate is secured to the door casing or the like, the closer bracket is slid into the mounting plate slots, and the closer bracket functions in a completely normal manner. When the closer bracket must be removed to provide full utilization of the door opening, it is necessary only to slide the closer bracket out of the mounting plate. Later, the closer bracket is replaced to its operational position by sliding it back into the mounting plate slot.

摘要： A stand-alone frac liner that allows for fracturing of multiple lateral legs of a multilateral well on a single call out and rig-up of fracturing equipment. Tools and techniques are provided that include setting multiple stand-alone frac liners in multiple lateral legs of the multilateral well. The liners may rest in the legs physically untethered to surface equipment. Thus, a single call out of a frac string tubular and associated equipment may be used to frac the lateral legs in sequence from one leg to the next. This may be achieved without the requirement of removal of the tubular from the well or disconnect of surface fracturing equipment between the lateral fracture applications. Thus, a considerable amount of expenses associated with time and manpower may be saved.

摘要： A mathematics teaching system comprises a keyboard, for entering an arithmetic problem to be solved and includes display elements to display said problem and a solution thereto. Electronic components automatically calculate the correct step-by-step solution and provide carry-borrow information to assist the student in making his calculations and performing a step-ty-step solution. Electronic circitry and components compare the calculated step-by-step solution with each step entered by the student and generate a "try again" signal upon entry of an incorrect step by the student. Equipment operable by the student is provided to erase an incorrect step. The system can be set to operate in a manual mode comprising a step-by-step solution by the student or one of two automatic modes, one of the latter comprising the displayed solution upon the entering of the problem and the second comprising the displayed step-by-step solution upon entry of a signal by the student.
