Abstract: Provided are an optical biaxially stretched plastic film, a polarizing plate, and an image display device that can suppress blackouts when viewed with polarized sunglasses, polarized goggles or the like without increasing the in-plane phase difference. In addition, a method for selecting an optical biaxially stretched plastic film is provided.
The optical biaxially stretched plastic film has a region satisfying condition 1 and condition 2 below:
the difference between a luminance obtained in a specific measurement 1 and a luminance obtained in a specific measurement 2 (L1.n−L2.n) is calculated at each of 100 measurement points, and the “luminance difference variation 3σ” calculated from the luminance differences at the 100 measurement points is 100 or more; and the in-plane phase difference (Re) is 2500 nm or less.-

Abstract: Provided is an optical film that can suppress rainbow unevenness when viewed with the naked eyes without increasing the in-plane phase difference. The optical film has a low-refractive index layer on a plastic film, the plastic film is a biaxially stretched plastic film with an in-plane phase difference of 2500 nm or less, the low-refractive index layer is located on the outermost surface, and the optical film has a region in which ΔEab satisfies specific conditions, wherein the ΔEab is calculated from the differences between the L* value, the a* value, and the b* value obtained by measuring a laminate 1 including the optical film, the polarizer, and the surface light source under specific conditions and the L* value, the a* value, and the b* value obtained by measuring a laminate 2 including the polarizer and the surface light source under specific conditions, respectively.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a laminated glass whereby, in a laminated glass comprising a liquid crystal film sandwiched therein and having a three-dimensionally curved surface shape, the formation of wrinkles in the liquid crystal film can be suppressed; and a laminated glass which has a three-dimensionally curved surface shape and in which wrinkles in a liquid crystal film sandwiched therein are suppressed. The method for manufacturing the laminated glass comprises: a heat molding step for heating the liquid crystal film to a temperature higher than the glass transition point of the first base material layer and the second base material layer; and a bonding step for, after completing the heat molding step, heating the laminate, wherein the liquid crystal film is sandwiched between the first glass sheet and the second glass sheet, at a temperature lower than the glass transition point and bonding the same by applying a preset pressure.

Abstract: The reliability of a spacer is improved in comparison to conventional ones. A light control film which is obtained by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer between first and second laminates that are provided with at least alignment layers and which controls light transmitted therethrough by controlling the alignment of liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer by driving electrodes that are provided on the first and second laminates. With respect to the first laminate, a base that is formed of a transparent film material is provided with a spacer that maintains the thickness of the liquid crystal layer. With respect to the first and second laminates, the Vickers hardness of the spacer is from 16.9 to 40.2 inclusive, and the Vickers hardness of a part of the second laminate, the part being in contact with the front end of the spacer, is from 11.8 to 35.9 inclusive.

Abstract: The present invention further improves the reliability of a spacer in comparison to conventional ones. With respect to the first and second laminates 13, 12, the Vickers hardness Xs of the spacer 24 is from 16.9 to 40.2 (inclusive), and the Vickers hardness Xf of a part of the second laminate 12, said part being in contact with the front end of the spacer 24, is from 11.8 to 35.9 (inclusive).

Abstract: A light control member exhibits strong adhesion between an alignment layer and a bead spacer and includes: a first and second laminate with a substrate and an alignment layer, and which is arranged so that the alignment layer thereof faces the alignment layer of the first laminate; a liquid crystal layer between the first laminate and the second laminate, and the alignment is controlled by driving electrodes on at least one of the first laminate and the second laminate; and a plurality of bead spacers which are arranged within the liquid crystal layer.
