    Abstract: A metal assembled body including a first member formed by forging a metal material, the first member including a peripheral wall portion in which a metal flow is formed along an axial direction and an extending portion extending from the peripheral wall portion and having an opening, the peripheral wall portion and the extending portion being formed integrally, and a closing member welded to a welding surface on the extending portion to close the opening, before the closing member is welded, the extending portion being formed to expose an end portion of the metal flow at the welding surface, and a welding position of the closing member on the welding surface being set to make a width of a first region larger than a width of a region excluding the first region, the first region being a region divided by a welding site, where arrival of a gas is inhibited.

    Abstract: An igniter assembly includes an igniter, a collar, and a holding part, a cup body having a cylindrical peripheral wall and a lid wall and a closing part defining an accommodating space with the cup body, the peripheral wall is sectioned, in an axial direction, into a contact region in contact with the closing part and a noncontact region not in contact with the closing part, the holding part includes a base part covering the contact region and a surrounding wall formed continuously to the base part and surrounding the noncontact region, and a fragile part is formed in the holding part between a first area including at least a part of the base part and a second area including a tip end of the surrounding wall, and thus the second area deforms radially outward preferentially when a load is applied to the surrounding wall by the igniter activated.

    Abstract: A gas generator includes, a cylindrical housing provided with an ignition device and a diffuser, and an inner cylindrical member defining a gap with an inner circumferential wall surface of the cylindrical housing and leading to a gas discharge port. The inner cylindrical member is formed of a plurality of cylindrical members having gas inlet-outlet holes and connected in an axial direction. An opening of each of the cylindrical members has concave-convex portions for fitting the cylindrical members together. Both ends of the connected cylindrical members have a first protrusion on a side of the ignition device serving as a first abutment portion, and a second protrusion on the side of the diffuser portion serving as a second abutment portion. The first and second abutment portions abut the inner circumferential wall surface of the cylindrical housing and have a hole or a cutout to allow a gas to pass.
