Abstract: A system for determining an axle load for an agricultural tractor. The system includes an axle or wheel suspension device arranged on a front axle of the agricultural tractor and has a hydraulic spring strut having a hydraulic cylinder and a hydraulic piston dividing the hydraulic cylinder into an annular space and a piston space. A first pressure sensor detects a first working pressure, which is present in the annular space. A second pressure sensor detects a second working pressure, which is present in the piston space. A control device calculates a front axle load variable which represents an axle load acting on a front axle on the basis of a pressure force difference derived from the first and second working pressures.

Abstract: A hydraulic control valve unit includes an input port hydraulically coupled to a pump, a working port hydraulically coupled to the working load, and a return port connected to a hydraulic tank. The unit includes a control slide movable into different working positions in an axial direction for controlling a hydraulic flow between the hydraulic ports and a slide housing surrounding the control slide. The control slide includes a control segment which is delimited in the axial direction by a control edge, and cooperates with an axial housing segment of the slide housing for controlling a flow cross section for hydraulic flow at the control segment. The control slide is rotationally driven about an axis of rotation in a rotational direction. The control edge of the control segment or the housing segment cooperating with the control segment is designed such that the flow cross section has a different size depending on a rotational position of the control slide.

Abstract: A method for determining a mass of an implement includes providing a rear powerlift having at least one upper link and at least one lower link and a support structure disposed at the rear of a utility vehicle. The method includes defining an angle (ψ) between the upper link and a vehicle horizontal line, an angle (φ) between the lower link and the vehicle horizontal line, an angle of inclination (θ) of a vehicle horizontal line relative to a terrestrial horizontal line, a path (LV) representative of a connection along the lower link between the support structure and the implement, and a force (FU) impinging on a connection between the upper link and the implement and acting along the upper link. The mass is determined by at least one of the angle (ψ), the angle (φ), the angle of inclination (θ), the path (LV), and the force (FU).

Abstract: A hydraulic system of a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump with variable delivery capacity. The hydraulic pump is controllable as a function of a load and operatively connected to a drive of the vehicle. The system includes a first brake system for reducing a speed of the vehicle by at least one friction brake, and a permanent brake system being independent of the first brake system and configured to reduce the speed of the vehicle. The permanent brake system includes a first retarder circuit which cooperates with the hydraulic pump such that kinetic energy is removed from the vehicle by the permanent brake system via the hydraulic pump in order to decelerate the vehicle.
