摘要: A tablet information handling system selectively couples to a charging stand and charging dock with opposing sets of spaced magnets to have magnetic attraction hold a wireless charging receiver aligned with a wireless charger. Magnetic attraction is greatest when the tablet information handling system couples in a landscape or portrait orientation and is reduced for removal of the tablet information handling system by rotating to an offset orientation so that magnets align with opposing spaces, resulting in a reduced magnetic attraction. A sensor disposed in a space detects the offset rotation by detecting the increased magnetic flux of the magnet aligning with the space so that a user interface can provide an end user with an indication that the tablet information handling system is positioned for separation from the charging stand or charging dock.

摘要: A game controller has first and second controllers detachably coupled to a bridge or an information handling system housing to provide inputs to a gaming application executing on the information handling system, such as from a joystick input device integrated in each controller. Logic stored in non-transitory memory of the information handling system executes to track game controllers based upon unique identifiers retrieved from each controller to the information handling system, such as through a direct coupling of the controllers to the information handling system or indirect communication by the information handling system with a bridge directly coupled to the controllers. The information handling system sets priority for inputs from game controllers based upon controller unique identifiers and also tracks composite game controller assemblies that include controllers and a bridge.

摘要: A game controller includes a joystick that accepts end user inputs and has illumination provided at the game controller surface encircling the joystick to provide indications to an end user, such as a locally-determined game controller status or a game application end user energy state. The illumination is provided from light emitting diodes disposed within the game controller interior on a flexible printed circuit board and coupled to a base of an annular light guide by a gasket to direct illumination into the annular light guide. Non-translucent treatment at the light guide on the game controller surface defines a translucent region at which illumination is presented.

摘要: A portable information handling system interacts with a game controller through either a direct connection at a wired interface at the sides of opposing controller housings and the information handling system housing or through a bridge having a bridge housing that directly couples to the controller housing as a bridge to the information handling system, such as with a wireless interface. During a sliding coupling motion, pins of the controller housing wired interface move across pins of the bridge or information handling system wired interface. The instructions apply different wake behaviors to manage stylus power consumption based upon whether the stylus couples to and information handling system, such as monitoring stylus motion with different wake intervals and monitoring for predetermined acceleration profiles, such as walking, falling and rolling.

One or more sensors monitor an end user position during the rotating from the closed to the open position so that the motorized hinge aligns the display with a desired viewing position relative to the end user, such as substantially perpendicular to the end user's gaze. The one or more sensors monitor the end user during usage of the information handling system to adjust the motorized hinge as the end user's position changes relative to the display over time.
