    Abstract: A transceiver lock insert may include a housing, a first connector housed at least partially within the housing and configured to communicatively and mechanically couple to a transceiver module, a second connector housed at least partially within the housing and configured to communicatively and mechanically couple to a cable, transmission media communicatively coupled between the first connector and the second connector and configured to communicatively couple the transceiver module to the cable, and a lock housed within the housing and configured to, when the transceiver lock insert is inserted into the transceiver module, secure the transceiver lock insert to the transceiver module to prevent access by a person to a release mechanism of the transceiver module.

    Abstract: An active device module may include an active device, a housing configured to house the active device, a slide release latch mechanically coupled to the housing via a spring having a spring force that biases the slide release latch in a first position relative to the housing, and connectivity flaps mechanically coupled to the slide release latch via activation levers, wherein when the slide release latch is in the first position and a cable is inserted into the active device module, the connectivity flaps apply a compressive force to either side of the cable to mechanically maintain the cable within the active device module. The housing, the slide release latch, the activation levers, and the connectivity flaps may be arranged such that, when an external force is applied to the slide release latch to overcome the spring force of the spring to cause the slide release latch to move from the first position to a second position relative to the housing, the slide release latch exerts mechanical force on the activation levers, which in turn applies a force to the connectivity flaps, pulling at least a portion of each connectivity flap away from another connectivity flap, thereby reducing the compressive force retaining the cable between the connectivity flaps.

    Abstract: A method for changing an airflow direction of an air mover of an information handling system may include mechanically translating the air mover in a linear direction from a closed position relative to a chassis configured to enclose components of the information handling system in which the air mover is enclosed by the chassis to an open position in which the air mover is drawn from the chassis, via a pair of rails mechanically coupled between the air mover and the chassis. The method may also include mechanically rotating the air mover 180 degrees relative to the pair of rails about an axis generally perpendicular to the linear direction, via a base mechanically interfaced between the air mover and the pair of rails. The method may further include mechanically translating the air mover from the open position to the closed position via the rails.

    Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of a power-over-Ethernet (PoE) breakout system that may be used to breakout a PoE port from a PoE information handling system into a number of breakout ports. In one or more embodiments, a PoE breakout system comprises: a PoE port for connecting to a PoE information handling system, such as a PoE switch; a plurality of breakout ports for connecting to powered devices, wherein each breakout port is configured to supply power to a powered device; and a power management module electrically coupled to the PoE port and configured to supply power to each breakout port according to a configuration that sets a power level for that breakout port. In one or more embodiments. the PoE breakout system comprises a data communications module that switches data traffic to a correct PoE breakout port according to its intended powered device.

    Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods determine a current configuration of an information handling system and execute a suitable classification algorithm to classify configurations of other information handling systems as either matching or not matching the current configuration. The current configuration may be determined based on telemetry data generated by the information handling system. The telemetry data may be uploaded to a backend configuration store. After classifying matching and not-matching configurations, a conformal prediction framework may then be invoked to determine one of the matching configurations as the best matching or closest configuration to the current configuration. Recommended values for one or more configuration features may then be determined based on the closest configuration. The recommend values may then be applied to the one or more configuration features.
