Abstract: A piezoelectric element includes a support and a vibration unit disposed on the support. The vibration unit includes a piezoelectric film and an electrode film connected to the piezoelectric film to extract charges generated by deformation of the piezoelectric film. The vibration unit has a support region supported on the support, and a vibration region connected to the support region and floating from the support. The vibration unit outputs a pressure detection signal based on the charges. The vibration region includes a plurality of slits extending from a support region side toward a center of the vibration region and is in a state of being supported at both ends with respect to the support region.

Abstract: A filter device has a sub-tank to be provided in a fuel tank. The sub-tank has an outer tubular portion and a bottom wall. A communication hole is formed in the bottom wall. An upper-side filter element is fixed to an upper side of the bottom wall to form an upper-side filter space between them, while a lower-side filter element is fixed to a lower side of the bottom wall to form a lower-side filter space between them. An inlet port of a fuel pump is connected to the upper-side filter element. Apart of fuel can be reserved in a fuel holding portion of the inside of the sub-tank and/or in the upper-side filter space, even when fuel amount in the fuel tank is decreased and the fuel tank is inclined with respect to a horizontal line.

Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a semiconductor sensor, an upper mold has a pair of projections on a wall surface opposing to side surfaces of a semiconductor chip in a first cavity and at positions closest to a second cavity. The projections project so as to reduce the space between the side surfaces of the semiconductor chip and the upper mold, so that a flow of a resin material from a first cavity to a second cavity is delayed. The resin material is filled in the first cavity prior to the second cavity. After a portion of a film corresponding to the first cavity is entirely brought into close contact with the upper mold, the resin material is filled in the second cavity.
