Abstract: An accelerator pedal system includes a pedal lever, a lock mechanism, an actuator, and an ECU. The pedal lever operates according to a step-on operation. The lock mechanism can restrict an operation of the pedal lever. The actuator switches between a locked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is restricted by the lock mechanism and an unlocked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is not restricted. The ECU includes a lock operation determination unit and an actuator control unit. The lock operation determination unit unlocks the pedal lever when an approaching object from behind is detected during a travel of a vehicle in the locked state.

The actuator switches between a locked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is restricted by the lock mechanism and an unlocked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is not restricted. The ECU includes an actuator control unit and a vehicle drive force control unit. The actuator control unit controls a drive of the actuator. When, during a travel of a vehicle in the locked state, (i) a disturbance is detected and (ii) the locked state is released, the vehicle drive control unit suppresses a vehicle drive force according to an opening degree of the pedal lever than a no disturbance situation.

Abstract: An accelerator pedal system includes a pedal lever configured to perform an operation in accordance with a step-on operation, a lock mechanism configured to restrict the operation of the pedal lever, and an actuator configured to switch between a locked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is restricted by the lock mechanism and an unlocked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is free from restriction by the lock mechanism. In the accelerator pedal system, a controller configured to change an energization amount to the actuator when a disturbance is detected during a vehicle traveling in the locked state. Thus, the lock state can be suitably controlled.

Abstract: A position detection device includes a magnetic detection element that is positioned radially outside a first clutch component portion and a second clutch component portion of a dog clutch around an axis. The magnetic detection element is provided between a first magnetic flux path portion and a second magnetic flux path portion. The magnetic detection element outputs a sensor signal indicating the direction of a magnetic flux passing between the first magnetic flux path portion and the second magnetic flux path portion. The magnetic detection element outputs a sensor signal indicating a position relationship between the first clutch component portion concerning a first hole portion as well as a first tooth portion and the second clutch component portion concerning the second hole portion as well as the second tooth portion, based on changes in magnetic flux directions depending on the position relationship in a rotation direction around the axis.

Abstract: A brake system includes a brake device, a brake circuit that generates a braking force for braking a vehicle, ECU that controls the braking force generated by the brake circuit according to a stroke amount of the brake pedal, and a user interface. When the first mode is selected, the ECU executes normal control for controlling the braking force generated by the brake circuit based on a basic characteristics which is a basic relationship between the stroke amount of the brake pedal and the braking force. When the second mode is selected, the ECU executes an automatic braking force control when the stroke amount is between a first threshold value and the second threshold value after the stroke amount of the brake pedal increases and reaches a predetermined set value. The ECU executes normal control when the stroke amount of the brake pedal becomes larger than the second threshold value.

The actuator switches between a locked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is restricted by the lock mechanism and an unlocked state in which the operation of the pedal lever is not restricted. The lock operation determination unit determines switching of the locked state and the unlocked state by the lock mechanism. The actuator control unit controls a drive of the actuator. The lock operation determination unit releases the locked state of the pedal lever when a driver's intention to accelerate is detected while a vehicle is traveling in the locked state.
