Abstract: A housing member includes a case member and a cover member having an insertion portion inserted into a seal groove. The case member and the cover member assembled together provide a housing space for housing a protective component inside. A housing space side inner groove surface of a peripheral wall portion and an external space side inner groove surface of the peripheral wall portion extend along an insertion direction of the insertion portion into the seal groove. A first distance between the external space side peripheral surface and the external space side inner groove surface opposite to the external space side peripheral surface is larger than a second distance between a housing space side peripheral surface extending along the insertion direction on the housing space side of the insertion portion and the housing space side inner groove surface opposite to the housing space side peripheral surface.

Abstract: A drive device includes a cover and a connector case. The cover is shaped into a cup form and has a connector insertion hole at a bottom portion of the cover. In a view taken in a connector inserting direction, the connector insertion hole is larger than a contour of a connector portion of the connector case, and a gap between an inner wall surface of the connector insertion hole and the contour of the connector portion is equal to or smaller than 3 mm. Thereby, although the connector insertion hole is formed to be larger than the connector portion to enable the insertion of the connector portion into the connector insertion hole at a time of assembly, a size of a cross section of the opening of the connector insertion hole is minimized.

Abstract: A driver device has a rear frame end disposed on an axial end of a motor, a heat sink on which a power module is fastened, and a connector case disposed on an outside of the heat sink having a first connector and a second connector for an external connection. A plate is fastened onto the connector case, with a motor-facing contact face of the plate contacting the rear frame end and a motor-facing-away contact face of the plate contacting the heat sink. Heat conductivity of the plate is equal to or greater than that of the rear frame end and that of the heat sink combined. Thus, a gap between the rear frame end and the heat sink is sealed and heat from the heat sink on which the power module is fastened is appropriately transmitted to the rear frame end.
