Abstract: A valve device includes a housing, a valve member, a valve seat member, a fixing member for fixing the valve seat member to the housing, and a housing-side seal portion. The housing has a valve chamber, and a housing-space inner wall forming a housing space communicating with the valve chamber. The housing-side seal portion blocks a flow of fluid between the valve seat member and the housing-space inner wall. The valve seat member has a tubular portion and a flange portion connected to the tubular portion. The flange portion is interposed between a facing surface of the housing-space inner wall and the fixing member in an axial direction. The fixing member is fixed to the housing-space inner wall in an airtight state. The housing-side seal portion is made of a rubber material and is interposed between the flange portion and the fixing member.

Abstract: A valve device includes a valve housing, a valve member, a limiter portion and a contact portion. The valve housing includes an upstream-side flow passage, which is communicated with an intake passage, a receiving space, which is communicated with an EGR passage, a valve chamber, which communicates between the upstream-side flow passage and the receiving space, and a valve-housing-side seal portion, which is placed around an opening that communicates between the upstream-side flow passage and the receiving space. The valve member includes a valve-member-side seal portion, which blocks communication between the intake passage and the EGR passage when the valve-member-side seal portion contacts the valve-housing-side seal portion. The rotation of the valve member is limited when the contact portion contacts the limiter portion.

Abstract: A preset compression ratio of a gasket is set to be larger at a center segment than at fixation segments. In order to set the preset compression ratio in the above-described manner, a depth of a center-segment-side bottom surface of a cover is set to be smaller than a depth of each fixation-segment-side bottom surface at the cover. In this way, even when a phenomenon, which causes a reduction of the compression ratio of the center segment of the gasket relative to the compression ratio of the fixation segments, occurs, it is possible to limit the reduction of the compression ratio of the center segment to a value that is lower than the compression ratio of the fixation segment.

Abstract: Shaft is rotationally driven, and a valve body rotates together with the shafts and has a cylindrical surface on an outer peripheral surface. A housing has a valve chamber in which the valve body is rotatably accommodated, and the valve chamber has an opening opened or closed by the valve body. The outer peripheral surface is provided to be in a non-contact with the housing. The valve body has a valve seal surface for closing the opening by abutting on a predetermined part set in the housing when the opening is fully closed, and the valve seal surface is directed in the circumferential direction. The valve body has a core metal made of a metal, and the shafts are provided on both ends of the core metal, and a valve seal surface is made of a resin.
