Abstract: In a vehicular camera apparatus, at least one imaging unit captures an image of a region located outside a vehicle, and a first housing configured to install the at least one imaging unit thereto. A housing assembly includes a second housing configured as a separate member from the first housing, and includes a vehicle attachment provided to the second housing and attached to a part of the vehicle. The housing assembly is configured to fixedly support the first housing between the part of the vehicle and the second housing while the vehicle attachment is attached to the part of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle compound-eye camera includes: a plurality of cameras arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a predetermined direction and disposed such that respective maximum image-pickup ranges of the plurality of cameras are partially shifted from each other in the predetermined direction; and a processor configured to set an overlapping image-pickup range in which each of the plurality of cameras picks up an image of a same target object from a different viewpoint. The processor is configured to set an image-pickup range of one of the cameras disposed on one end in the predetermined direction to have a relatively wide angle. The processor is configured to set an image-pickup range of another of the cameras disposed on the other end in the predetermined direction to have a relatively narrow angle.

Abstract: A vehicular camera apparatus includes a lens and a hood provided below the lens. The hood includes a rib structure and a hole structure. The rib structure is constituted of ribs that each protrude upward from a bottom wall of the hood and are arrayed in an optical axis direction of the lens. Each of the ribs has a front surface on the opposite side to the lens and a rear surface on the lens side. The front surface makes an acute angle with an imaginary plane that contains an upper surface of the bottom wall. The rear surface makes an obtuse angle with the imaginary plane. The hole structure is constituted of holes formed in the bottom wall. Each of the holes is formed along a corresponding one of the ribs and includes, at least, a projection of the front surface of the corresponding rib on the imaginary plane.
