Abstract: An output shaft includes a shaft hole with which a shaft is fittable, rotates by torque output from a motor, and outputs torque to the shaft. A magnet holder includes a holder hole with which the shaft is fittable and is rotatable together with the shaft. A magnet is disposed on the magnet holder. An angle sensor is capable of detecting magnetic flux from the magnet and outputs a signal corresponding to a rotation angle of the magnet holder. A play amount between the shaft and the shaft hole is set to a first predetermined value or larger. A play amount between the shaft and the holder hole is set to a second predetermined value or smaller.

Abstract: A rotary actuator includes a motor, a speed reducer configured to output after reducing a rotation of a rotary shaft of the motor, and a housing accommodating the motor and the speed reducer. Abstract: An output portion is formed integrally with an output gear made of a magnetic material and is rotated integrally with the output gear. A yoke is placed at the output gear and includes first and second yokes. An arcuate gap, which extends along an arc that is centered at a rotational center of the output gear, is formed between the first yoke and the second yoke. A magnet is installed between one end of the first yoke and one end of the second yoke. Another magnet is installed between another end of the first yoke and another end of the second yoke. A Hall IC is placed in the arcuate gap and is movable relative to the yoke. Primary holes are formed between the rotational center and the yoke such that the primary holes extend through the output gear in a plate thickness direction of the output gear.

Abstract: Each of gear teeth of an external gear has a tooth-bottom portion, a tooth-middle portion and a tooth-front portion. The tooth-middle portion is operatively engaged with an internal gear. A cross-sectional shape of the tooth-bottom portion is formed by a hypocycloid curved line. A cross-sectional shape of the tooth-middle portion is formed by an epicycloid curved line. A cross-sectional shape of the tooth-front portion is formed by a first predetermined curved line, which is located at a position closer to a first pitch circle of the external gear in a radial-inward direction from a reference epicycloid curved line. The reference epicycloid curved line is continuously connected to each of the curved lines of the tooth-middle portion at both circumferential sides of each gear tooth. As a result, the tooth-front portion is so formed that a part of the tooth-front portion is escaped in the radial-inward direction from the reference epicycloid curved line.
