A second stator surrounds the second rotor peripherally. A common housing forms a casing for the first and second electric machines and the drive output shaft extends axially through the housing. The first and second electric machines form a coolant circuit having at least one coolant line arranged to cool the first and second rotors and a second coolant line parallel to the first coolant line and arranged to separately cool the first and second stators.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a high-output, high-torque in-wheel motor having a power line-taken-out structure. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the in-wheel motor includes a circular rim; a shaft connected to the rim through a center of the rim; a motor assembly including a stator connected to the shaft in the rim and a rotor surrounding the stator and rotated about the stator; a cover coupled to an opening of the rim to block the motor assembly from an outside of the rim; and a bearing contacting and configured to support the shaft. The shaft includes a first shaft body passing through a center of each of the rim and the cover and extending outward; and a second shaft body having a larger diameter than a diameter of the first shaft body and disposed between the stator and the bearing. A power line for supplying power to the motor assembly is inserted in a radial direction of the second shaft body between the stator and the bearing and is taken out in a longitudinal direction of the second shaft body. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, even when a diameter of the power line is increased to achieve the high-output, high torque performance of the in-wheel motor, structural rigidity of the shaft may not be degraded.

The thermal management system includes a first end plate disposed at an axial end of the rotor. The first end plate has a central hub and an overhang. The overhang includes an outwardly extending radial rim and a lip. The radial rim includes an outer surface, an inner surface, and at least two passages defined therethrough. The first end plate facilitates cooling of the electric motor by directing fluid (i) off of the outer surface of the radial rim and onto an inner diameter of the end windings, and (ii) through the at least two passages and onto the inner diameter of the end windings.

摘要: A synchronous electric motor includes a rotor and a stator. The stator includes an armature and coils. The armature includes a yoke and teeth. The teeth define recesses. The coils are mounted in the recesses of the armature. The stator is wound by insertion. Each coil is formed from a wire outside the stator, so that the coils are subsequently inserted into the recesses, through wire passages of the recesses according to a direction radial to a central axis of the stator. Furthermore, a ratio of a surface area of each recess to a thickness of the yoke is between 5 mm and 10 mm, the surface area of each recess being measured in a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the stator.
