Abstract: An evaporator includes multiple cold storage mechanisms for lowering a temperature of a cold storage material housed inside a cold storage container by heat exchange with a refrigerant. The multiple cold storage mechanisms include a first cold storage mechanism and a second cold storage mechanism higher in heat storage-and-radiation performance than the first cold storage mechanism.

Abstract: A cold storage heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubes, a coolant flowing in the tubes, a cold storage material container joined to the tubes, the cold storage material container defining a room that houses a cold storage material, and a distribution tank unit that distributes the coolant to the tubes. A coolant passage is formed in the tubes and the distribution tank unit. The distribution tank unit includes an aperture plate that reduces a passage cross-sectional area of the coolant passage. Among the plurality of tubes, the cold storage material container is joined to at least a tube disposed upstream in a coolant flow direction from the aperture plate in the coolant passage. Accordingly, cold storage performance may be improved.

Abstract: A cold storage heat exchanger includes: a plurality of refrigerant tubes disposed at intervals, each of the refrigerant tubes including a refrigerant passage that allows a refrigerant to flow therethrough; a cold storage material adjacent to the refrigerant tubes; and a heat transfer suppressor that suppresses heat transfer from the refrigerant tubes to the cold storage material in an overheated area of the refrigerant formed in the refrigerant passage.
