Abstract: An image processing device is provided with an image acquiring unit that acquires the image from an imaging unit mounted on a vehicle, a light determining unit that determines a state of a light mounted on the vehicle, and an adjusting unit that adjusts a relationship between a luminance at an object to be captured by the imaging unit, and a pixel value in the image. The adjusting unit is configured to set, when the light determining unit determines the state of the light is in the low-beam state, the illuminance where the pixel value is at the lower limit, to be lower than that of a case when the light determining unit determines the state of the light is in the high-beam state.

Abstract: In a vehicular camera, an image generation unit generates at least one image of a directional view from a vehicle, and an object recognition unit recognizes a target object in the at least one image. A region identification unit identifies, in the at least one image, a specific region in the target object recognized by the object recognition unit. A vehicle control unit performs a vehicle control task based on the recognized target object. A mosaic unit identifies a specific region in the at least one image corresponding to the specific region in the at least one image, and performs a mosaic task to thereby blur a mosaic region in the second image. The mosaic region includes at least the specific region in the at least one image.

Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, an image acquirer is configured to acquire a captured image from a camera mounted to a vehicle. A histogram generator is configured to generate a histogram representing a relationship between a luminance and a pixel count of the captured image. The pixel count is a number of pixels in the captured image. An image corrector is configured to generate a corrective tone-curve for correcting the relationship between the luminance and the pixel count of the captured image based on the histogram of the captured image, and correct the captured image using the corrective tone-curve to generate a corrected image. The corrective tone-curve is a tone-curve representing a relationship between input and output values of luminance.
