Only measurement signals of the first subgroup are used, or measurement signals of first and second subgroups are added to record the first data. Only measurement signals of the second subgroup are used, or measurement signals of subgroups are subtracted, or vice versa, to record second data.

摘要: A method determines a fluid quantity relating to a fluid flowing in a measuring device. The measuring device has a measuring tube which receives the fluid, and first and second oscillation transducers. An excitation of a total wave, which is conducted through a wall of the measuring tube, by the first and/or second oscillation transducer, by wave components which are conducted in the wall being excited by the oscillation transducers in a plurality of excitation regions. These wave components are superposed to form the total wave. A distance between the centers of the excitation regions and the excitation frequency are selected such that an oscillation mode to be attenuated is quenched by destructive interference of the wave components in a propagation direction. Excitation of a compression oscillation of the fluid by the total wave occurs. Measurement data relating to the compression oscillation is used to determine the fluid quantity.

摘要: A measuring device, in particular a flow meter, has a measurement tube for receiving or conveying a fluid, first and second oscillation transducers on a side wall of the measurement tube, and a control device. An operating method has the control device drive the first oscillation transducer chronologically in succession for respective mode-selective excitation of a first and a second oscillation mode of a wave conducted in the side wall of the measurement tube. The second oscillation transducer is driven similarly for a second measurement direction. The excited waves are conducted directly in the side wall or indirectly through the fluid and recorded in the other oscillation transducer, resulting in measurement data for each measurement direction and oscillation mode. Result information relates to a property of the fluid or a state of the measuring device determined from the measurement data for both measurement directions and both respective oscillation modes.

摘要: An ultrasonic meter for recording a flow quantity dependent on a flow of a fluid, has a control device, a measuring tube having a plurality of side walls, mutually adjacent side walls being at an angle to one another, and through which the fluid can flow in a longitudinal direction of the measuring tube, and first and second ultrasound transducers which are arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction on the measuring tube. The first and second ultrasound transducers respectively contain one transducer element or a predetermined arrangement of a plurality of transducer elements. The ultrasound transducer can be driven by the control device in order to excite an acoustic wave conducted in a side wall of the measuring tube, and conducted through the fluid to the other ultrasound transducer and recorded there by the control device to determine a signal time of flight.

摘要: A measurement module determines a fluid quantity which relates to a property of a fluid located in or flowing through a measurement tube. The measurement module contains a base body, a control device and first and second oscillation transducers fastened at a distance from one another on the base body. The first and/or the second oscillation transducer is controlled by the control device to excite an oscillation of a side wall of the measurement tube when a contact face of the measurement module is coupled to the side wall of the measurement tube directly or via a coupling layer. The oscillation of the side wall excites compression oscillations of the fluid, which are conducted through the fluid to the respective other oscillation transducer and recorded the control device to determine a measurement quantity. The fluid quantity can be determined by the control device in dependence on the measurement quantity.

摘要: A measuring device for determining a fluid variable relating to a fluid or fluid flow includes a control device, a measuring tube receiving the fluid or fluid flow, and oscillation transducers spaced apart on the measuring tube. At least one oscillation transducer is drivable by the control device to excite a wave conducted through at least one side wall of the measuring tube, the conducted wave exciting compression oscillations of the fluid conducted through the fluid to the other oscillation transducer and recorded there by the control device to determine measurement data. The fluid variable can be determined by the control device as a function of the measurement data. At least one further side wall of the measuring tube has at least one recess extending in a flow direction and increasing a flow cross section of the measuring tube. A method for determining a fluid variable is also provided.
