Abstract: An integral modified polyolefin resin/silicone elastomer layered article is provided together with a method for its production. The integral polyolefin-based resin/silicone elastomeric material article comprises a shaped layer of a polyolefin-based copolymer or grafted polyolefin. It contains silyl trialkoxy groups, carboxylic acid groups and/or —OH groups. A silicone elastomeric material layer is subsequent to being cured from a hydrosilylation curable silicone elastomer composition comprising one or more adhesion promoters.

Abstract: A hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition comprises: (a) a linear organopolysiloxane polymer having at least two alkenyl and/or alkynyl groups per molecule; (b) a reinforcing filler comprising at least one of fumed silica, precipitated silica, or calcium carbonate; (c) a cross-linker containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen groups per molecule; (d) a hydrosilylation cure catalyst; (e) an organosilicon resin containing M and Q units; and (f) an adhesion promoter comprising a mixture and/or reaction product of (i) one or more alkoxysilanes having an epoxy group in the molecule; (ii) a linear organopolysiloxane oligomer containing at least one alkenyl group and at least one hydroxy or alkoxy group per molecule; and (iii) an organometallic condensation reaction catalyst comprising organoaluminum or organozirconium compounds. A textile, e.g. air bag or air bag fabric, can be coated with the hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition, and resulting air bags and fabrics generally have improved properties.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to continuous methods of making foamed silicone elastomers. This disclosure also relates to compositions used for forming foamed silicone elastomers. The compositions comprise: (i) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded unsaturated groups per molecule; (ii) an organohydrogensiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; (iii) a hydrosilylation catalyst; and (iv) a physical blowing agent. Foamed silicone elastomers can be prepared from such compositions, using, for example, the methods disclosed herein.
