Abstract:
A head 2 has a face 4. The face 4 has a plurality of score line grooves 8 and a plurality of fine grooves 10. A depth of fine groove 10 is less than 0.03 mm. A width of the fine groove 10 is 0.1 mm or greater and 0.3 mm or less. A pitch of the fine groove 10 is 0.3 mm or greater and 0.8 mm or less. The fine groove 10 has a first direction extending part d1 extending in a first direction and a second direction extending part d2 extending in a second direction. The first direction is a direction directed to a top blade side toward a heel side. The second direction is a direction directed to the top blade side toward a toe side. The score line groove 8 and the fine groove 10 do not cross each other.
Abstract:
A golf club 4 includes a head hd and a sole surface 12. The sole surface 12 includes a ridgeline RL extending from a toe side toward a heel side, a leading surface Si positioned on a face side of the ridgeline RL and inclined upward toward the face side, and a trailing surface S2 positioned on a back side of the ridgeline RL and inclined upward toward the back side. Inclination angles at respective positions of the trailing surface S2 are defined as θ2c at a central position, θ2t at a toe reference position, and θ2h at a heel reference position. Then, the head hd satisfies at least one of the following (a) and (b): (a) The inclination angle θ2t is greater than the inclination angle θ2c (b) The inclination angle θ2h is greater than the inclination angle θ2c.
Abstract:
A golf club head comprises: a head main body having a hollow therein; a weight member disposed in the hollow and extending from its first end to its second end; a first end side portion of the weight member is secured to a first position of the head main body rotatably around a first axis at the first position so that a second end side portion of the weight member is movable to at least a second position and a third position of the head main body which positions are on a locus described by the first end side portion of the weight member during rotating about said first axis; and a fastener for fixing the second end side portion of the weight member to any of said at least second and third positions of the head main body.
Abstract:
Provided is an iron type golf club head having an undercut cavity. The iron type golf club head comprises a face portion (2) for hitting a ball; a peripheral edge (2e) of the face portion (2) is provided with a flange portion (7) protruding backward of the head; a rear surface (5) of the face portion (2) is provided with a cavity (C) surrounded by the flange portion (7). The flange portion (7) includes a first flange part (8). The first flange part (8) is provided in its inner surface (8i) side facing to the cavity (C) with a first concave part (10) dented toward the outside of the head so as to form an undercut cavity (c2) extending along the peripheral edge (2e). The cross-section of the first concave part (10) comprises a front wall surface (11) positioned frontward of the head, a rear wall surface (12) positioned backward of the head, and a bottom surface (13) smoothly connecting therebetween, and the cross-section is tapered toward the bottom surface (13). The angle (θ1) formed between the front wall surface (11) and the rear wall surface (12) is not less than 10 degrees and less than 30 degrees, and the bottom surface (13) is formed of a circular arc having a radius (R1) of curvature of not less than 1 mm and less than 2 mm.
Abstract:
A set 2 includes two or more iron type golf clubs 4 having loft angles different from each other. Each club 4 includes a shaft sf, a head hd, and a grip gp. The head hd includes a top surface 10, a sole surface 12, and a face surface 14 having a face line gv. The sole surface 12 includes a leading edge E1 and a trailing edge E2. In a planar view of the sole surface 12, the trailing edge E2 is curved so as to project toward a face side. A sole width WSc at a middle position of the face line gv is increased as the loft angle is increased.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an iron-type golf club head that is able to increase the amount of backspin while reducing resistance against the ground, and a golf club set. In an iron-type golf club head having a top surface, a sole surface, a toe surface that connects therebetween, and a face surface that hits a ball, the sole surface is provided with a leading surface sloping to a face side and a trailing surface sloping to a back side in a face-back direction, with a visible boundary line extending in a toe-heel direction as an apex.
Abstract:
A golf club head including a face surface for hitting a ball is provided. The face surface has a plurality of score lines, a first groove pattern, and a second groove pattern. The score lines extend in a toe-heel direction. The first groove pattern is made up of first micro grooves extending along a plurality of first virtual lines. The second groove pattern is made up of second micro grooves extending along a plurality of second virtual lines intersecting the first virtual lines. At least one out of the first micro grooves and the second micro grooves extend as dashed lines interrupted in a vicinity of intersections between the first virtual lines and the second virtual lines, such that the first micro grooves and the second micro grooves do not overlap each other.
