Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a core unit configured to control an external device that is communicatively connected to the information processing apparatus; and a calling unit that is included in the core unit and is configured to call a plug-in that enables the external device to implement a predetermined function when controlling the external device. The plug-in, when called by the calling unit at a specific timing, interrupts a process related to the control of the external device performed by the core unit with a process related to the predetermined function provided by the plug-in.

Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a print data generation part that receives, via an operating system, a print execution instruction including a file and a first print setting from the application, and generates print data; an application management part that sends a printing instruction to the application; an extended interface part other than an interface part defined by the operating system; and a print setting storing part that stores a second print setting that is input from the application management part via the extended interface part. The print data generation part changes a print setting to be used to generate the print data from the first print setting to the second print setting.
Abstract:
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores programs for a computer to execute a method of controlling a print job of a document from an application. The programs includes a controlling program to control the print job with a job ID, a setting receiving program to receive a setting condition, an image processing program to convert the document into print data, and a print data processing program to store the job ID with image data. The method includes the steps of obtaining the job ID, generating the image data, and storing the job ID with the image data into the print data processing program, executed by the setting receiving program, and the steps of obtaining the document and the job ID, receiving the image data, and converting the image data and the document into the print data, executed by the image processing program.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes processors configured to execute computer-executable instructions to execute a process including reading first setting information indicating a first setting content with respect to a first device; referring to function information indicating one or more functions of a second device, and determining whether there is a function, which is not included in the one or more functions of the second device, among one or more functions corresponding to the first setting content; and referring to first term information including a term indicating the first setting content, when there is the function corresponding to the first setting content that is determined as not being included in the one or more functions of the second device, and displaying, on the display device, the function, which is determined as not being included in the one or more functions of the second device, in association with the term.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus makes adding, deleting, and changing of modification rules easy. The data processing apparatus includes an output destination type determining unit that determines type of output destination determined by an output destination determining unit using categorizing information, modification processing units that execute modifying processes different from each other on content of image data, a Plug-in Factory that determines the modifying process by referring to the determined type and content of modifying process set for each categorized type and generates modification processing units that execute the determined modifying processes, and a print commanding unit that requests modification processing units to execute the modifying process, generates output data from the modified image data, and sends the output data to the determined output destination. The content of the categorizing information and modifying process can be customized, and modification processing units can be added or deleted.
