摘要: Devices, systems, and processes for real-time universal medication management with locking and metering are disclosed. Opening bottles and taking the right quantity of medicines presents a challenge to many. The devices, systems, and processes disclosed herein present solutions to this problem. Use of original dispensed containers has the advantage of being able to leverage uniquely identifiable Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices that may be efficiently connected and monitored by the professional healthcare industry. Managing all medicines and ingested materials simultaneously with vital sign recording provides new insights into patient care and pharmacogenomics. The disclosed devices, systems, and processes may provide a notification of when to take a dose of each medication, enabling teaching at the point of medicine access and recording actions to a personal account accessible via the Internet, thereby keeping users safely engaged throughout the medicine taking process.

摘要: A medicine station or stand-alone alert device has a processor having access to memory, wherein the memory stores a control module, and the processor is configured to execute the modules stored in the memory. The medicine station or stand-alone alert device also includes one or more indicators. The control module is configured to periodically check for an external notification from a primary alert device that it is time to take a medication. Upon receiving the external notification, the control program is configured to cause the medicine station or stand-alone alert device to enter an amplified alert mode with respect to the primary alert device via the one or more indicators.

摘要: Disclosed are embodiments of an alert announcer system with and without a remote unit which alerts a person at medicine dosing times. The system comprises a primary unit; one or more medication modules, wherein each medication module has a plurality of medicine compartments; one alert device is attached to each medicine container monitored by the system; and optionally a remote unit. Medicine containers each have an alert device attached which executes a dosing schedule appropriate to the medicine in the container and produces an alert at medicine dosing times according to each individual dosing schedule. Medicine containers with attached alert devices are placed in or on the medication modules in predetermined physical locations. Medication modules detect alerts pertaining to each medicine container and transmit those alerts to the primary unit where an amplified sensible alert is generated to alert the user that it is time to take a dose of medicine. The primary unit may relay alerts to remote units or send notification via phone, text, mail or any other electronic means of communication.

摘要: Disclosed are apparatus for assisting a person in the correct administration of medicine and methods for beneficially using such a device. The apparatus comprises an electronic timing mechanism which executes a dosing schedule, the dosing schedule being comprised of at least one dosing time interval. One or more annunciators are activated at the end of at least one dosing interval thereby alerting a person that it is time to take a dose of medicine. Included are attachment means, such as a pressure sensitive adhesive, for attachment to a medicine container. Construction is with materials and structures that confer to the device the flexibility required to physically conform to curved objects such as typically encountered in prescribed medications. Alerts from the device may be visible, audible, vibratory, or any combination thereof. No human readable time is displayed. At least one switch is provided for human interaction with the device. Human readable information may be visible on the device for quick dosing schedule identification. The dosing schedule may be preprogrammed and unalterable. In other embodiments the dosing schedule may be reprogrammable.

摘要: Medication magazines including one or more compartments that hold respective sleeves of medication, as well as a respective blister card, are provided. The blister card(s) include blisters of medication, and the blister sleeve(s) include openings designed to align with the blisters of the blister card(s). The removal of medication from each blister may be automatically detected and digitally recorded, along with the time and the individual who removed the medication. In addition to permitting alignment of each blister on the blister card, the openings on the sleeve also permit the ejection of the medicine through the openings without being removed from the sleeve. Intelligent medication management systems configured to provide end-to-end management and monitoring for patient dosing regimens are also provided.

摘要: Dosing times for medication may be tracked by taking into account preset dosing sequences and when users indicate that they have taken the medication. The medication may also be kept in its original container. An encoder disk may be attached to a medicine container. The encoder disk may be encoded with a dosing frequency that indicates how frequently the medication should be taken, as well as any other desired information. A base station may be configured to accept and hold one or more medicine containers. The base station may be configured to read the encoded dosage from the encoder disk, an RFID tag, a barcode, or another component capable of conveying dosing information, and detect when the medicine container is removed from and placed on the base station. The base station may also include various indicators of its current state.
