    摘要: A saw includes a rotatable cutting blade having a first side, a second side, an outer edge and a front end region, a motor for driving the cutting blade, and a blade guard covering at least a portion of the blade. The saw has an air deflector assembly positioned in proximity to the front edge region of the cutting blade, the air deflector assembly having a first deflector device positioned substantially adjacent to, but spaced apart from, the first side of the rotatable cutting blade, and a second deflector device. The second deflector device is movable between an operating position whereby the second deflector device is positioned substantially adjacent to, but spaced apart from, the second side of the blade, and a non-operating position wherein the second deflector device is spaced apart from the blade by a greater distance than in the operating position.

    摘要: A miter saw includes a base, and a table disposed on the base, the table having a top surface extending between a front end and a rear end of the table. The miter saw also includes a cutting assembly overlying the table, the cutting assembly including a rotatable cutting blade having a peripheral cutting edge, and a motor for driving said cutting blade. At least one guide rail is connected with the table and coupled with the cutting assembly for guiding sliding movement of the cutting assembly over the table between a rear-most position and a forward-most position. The miter saw includes a locking assembly coupled with at least one of the cutting assembly and the at least one guide rail for locking the cutting assembly in an intermediate position located between the rear-most position and the forward-most position.

A first gear assembly has a first clutch spring that holds a first set of rolling members between lobes that extend from a first output gear. A second gear assembly has a second clutch spring that holds a second set of rolling members between lobes that extend from a second output gear. The first gear assembly and the second gear assembly are configured to move longitudinally along the shaft member to a position where at least one of the first gear assembly and the second gear assembly is engaged for rotation with the shaft member when a value of torque at the shaft member is below a torque threshold value.
