    摘要: A transmitting device generates a data block including a first field having a first plurality of bits that includes an error detection portion and a second field having a second plurality of bits; selects an error injection mask based on the second plurality of bits; modifies the first plurality of bits with the error injection mask to generate a modified first plurality of bits; and transmits the data block to a receiving device. The receiving device decodes the second plurality of bits to generate decoding results; selects an error injection mask based on the decoding results; modifies the first plurality of bits using the error injection mask to generate a modified first plurality of bits that includes a resultant error detection value indicated in the error detection portion; and detects whether the decoding results for the second field are correct based on the resultant error detection value.

    摘要: A system and method for receiving data and control messages comprised of a series of data units is provided. The data units comprising each message are structured to follow a particular sequence, such as zero or more data units of a first type followed by one or more data units of a second type, which may then followed by data units of one or more other predetermined types. Upon receiving a data unit of a first or second type, a number of “units to follow” is determined from information provided in the received data unit. A number of subsequently received data units are then forced to be processed as one of the first type, the second type, or other predetermined type in accordance with the known structure of the message. The number of subsequently received data units that are forced to be processed as one of these types is based on the determined number of units to follow.

The method includes: receiving a plurality of bursts and detecting a failure to receive a preceding header burst; extracting embedded data from the plurality of bursts; determining from the embedded data whether the plurality of bursts comprises valid voice bursts; and when the plurality of bursts comprises valid voice bursts, generating at least one header burst using the embedded data, and transmitting the at least one header burst and the voice bursts.

    摘要: A method for interrupting active communications within a communication network, the method comprising in one embodiment: operating a communication device to terminate communication activity in response to receiving an interrupt request from an interrupting device; operating a repeater to wake up and initiate message communication activity in response to receiving a base station downlink activation message from the interrupting device; and operating the interrupting device to transmit one or more messages on a receive frequency of the repeater. The method for interrupting active communications within a communication network comprising in an alternate embodiment: operating a repeater, in response to receiving an interrupt request from an interrupting device, to clear each channel hosted by the repeater: informing the interrupting device by the repeater that all channels have been cleared; de-keying the repeater; operating the interrupting device to transmit one or more communications on a transmission frequency of the repeater.
