    摘要: An immobilizing device has a driving mechanism which urges two members or chocks towards each other to clamp a vehicle wheel between them. A detector, including a spring, detects engagement between the chocks and the wheel, in particular when the force applied by the driving mechanism exceeds a threshold, and permits operation of an auxiliary device, e.g. comprising a spring-loaded pin, to prevent movement of the chocks away from each other.

    摘要: The present invention includes methods and apparatus for making a tubular composite container having paperboard body plies and an unsupported polymer film liner adhered thereto. The polymer film liner is comprised of, in order, a first sealant layer, a second adhesive layer, a third polyamide layer, a fourth layer comprising an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, a fifth polyamide layer, a sixth adhesive layer, a seventh high density polyethylene layer and an eighth high density polyethylene layer. The resulting liner and the paperboard body plies are wound about the tube forming mandrel and adhered together so as to produce a lined tubular composite container.

    摘要: A vehicle includes a coupling assembly for connecting first and second sections of a brake supply line, the coupling assembly comprising complementary first and second couplings which fit together. A safety device is complementary to one coupling and which can be fitted to the coupling so that it cannot be connected to the other coupling. The safety device includes a locking device which is operable to prevent removal of the safety device from the coupling; the locking device prevents removal of a key until the locking device is operated. The key removed from the locking device can be used to enable use of a loading bay.

A safety device is complementary to one coupling and which can be fitted to the coupling so that it cannot be connected to the other coupling.     摘要: Apparatus and method for separating individual human reproductive material from a fertilization dish and storing the material in a cryotank for future fertilization and implantation. The apparatus includes an elongate cryostraw having a first open end and second heat-sealable open end, a channel extending between said ends, and an internal, calibrated volume VC. A displacement bulb is connected to the first end of the cryostraw for admitting and emitting the material into said cryostraw. The bulb has a total volume VB1, an internal cavity with a compressible end volume VB2, a first seal with the first end of said cryostraw; and, means for limiting the intake volume displacement produced in said cryostraw to an amount less than VC no matter how far the bulb is squeezed. The bulb produces less than a unit volume of displacement in the cryostraw when the bulb is squeezed and its volume VB1 is reduced by a unit volume.

    摘要: A membrane closure for a container is provided. The membrane closure includes an integral tab for removing the membrane closure from the container. The closure includes a lower layer, an adhesive layer, and an upper layer. The lower layer is sealed to the body of a container. The upper layer includes a score pattern that defines a tab area and a fixed area. The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive for releasably attaching the tab area to the lower layer and a second adhesive for permanently bonding the fixed area to the lower layer. The membrane closure is removable from the container by pulling on the tab area.

    摘要: An unsupported lap-sealable liner for a composite container comprises a heat seal layer, a barrier web having a first surface attached to the heat seal layer and having an opposite second surface, and a sealable primer applied as an aqueous dispersion to the second surface of the barrier web and then dried. The sealable primer comprises a polymer having bonding affinity with wet adhesive used for bonding the liner to a paperboard surface of a composite container. The sealable primer furthermore is heat-sealable to the heat seal layer such that the liner is lap-sealable.

    摘要: An apparatus that indicates whether an object has been exposed to a predetermined critical temperature T. The apparatus housing has a reservoir portion and a capillary tube portion in fluid connection with the reservoir portion. A first fluid is contained within the reservoir portion. A second fluid is contained within the capillary portion. A barrier is located intermediate the first fluid and second fluid. The barrier prevents the first and second fluids from intermixing until the apparatus is exposed to the critical temperature, and then allows at least a portion of the second fluid to mix with the first fluid when the apparatus is exposed to the critical temperature. An observable characteristic of one of the fluids irreversibly changes when the apparatus is exposed to the critical temperature. The housing completely encapsulates the fluids and barrier within the housing and prevents evaporation of the fluids and barrier from the housing.
