    摘要： A mint flavored chewing gum having reduced bitterness comprising a water insoluble base portion, a water soluble portion, and a mint flavor agent from which at least a portion of 1-menthol has been removed. In an embodiment, the mint flavored chewing gum includes a cooling agent. Additionally, a method of adding mint flavor to a chewing gum and reducing bitterness associated with such flavor is provided. The method comprises the step of removing at least a portion of 1-menthol present in the mint flavor before adding the mint flavor to other components of the chewing gum.

    摘要： A draw type bag with two single draw tapes having a front wall and back wall of flexible sheet material joined to each other along edges of the bag. Tubular channels extend along opposed transverse top edges of the front and back walls. The channels define an open mouth for the bag. Each of the channels has openings at the opposite ends of the top edges of the bag. A pair of draw tapes extends through both of the channels. One end of each of the tapes is attached to opposite side edges of the bag beneath the openings in one of the channels and the other end of each of the tapes extends through the openings at the corresponding ends of the other of the channels so that the tapes cross each other in both channels and wrap around the mouth of the bag whereby when the tapes are pulled the mouth of the bag is drawn tightly together.

    摘要： A confectionary composition is used in a method of reducing stress and the urge to smoke in abstaining tobacco users. The confectionary composition includes at least one of a sugar or a sugar alcohol and an effective amount of stress-reducing flavoring agent. Where the confectionary composition is a chewing gum, the composition includes a water soluble bulk portion and a water insoluble base portion. The stress-reducing flavoring agent can be one or more of peppermint flavor, vanilla flavor, or peach flavor. The stress-reducing flavoring agent reduces an abstaining tobacco user's urge to smoke and can reduce the level of salivary Cortisol in the abstaining tobacco user. The method reduces stress in tobacco users who must temporarily abstain from tobacco use and can reduce consumption of tobacco by tobacco users by increasing the interval between consumption events.
