Abstract:
A method, terminal, and system for playing programs are disclosed. The method includes: creating virtual channels corresponding to keywords in a keyword list according to the keywords, and using the virtual channels to form a virtual channel list; identifying programs inclusive of the keywords among received programs; using the programs inclusive of the keywords to generate a playlist of the virtual channels corresponding to the keywords according to a preset playlist generation rule; and playing the programs in the playlist. Through the present disclosure, the same type of BTV programs that match a keyword on different channels are scheduled together, the required operations of pressing keys are reduced, and the user experience is improved.
Abstract:
A method, system, and apparatus for renewing a program are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining programs associated with a set renewed program according to the renewed program; using one or more of the obtained associated programs as successive programs to the renewed program; and renewing the successive programs automatically. The present invention brings the following benefits: Programs in multiple series or programs associated with a program can be renewed automatically, which overcomes the problems in the prior art, namely, separate renewal of every episode of a program series or separate renewal of programs associated with a renewed program, complicated user operations, and poor user experiences.

Abstract:
A method for watching a missed television (TV) program and a user terminal are provided. The method includes the following steps. Electronic program guide (EPG) information distributed by a headend is received, and a local table of missed programs and current time are obtained. It is determined that a missed program exits when the user terminal is in a non-working status according to the local table of missed programs and the current time. Information of the missed program in the local table of missed programs is updated according to the EPG information. It is detected whether the missed program is played currently, and if yes, a service of watching a missed program is implemented. By using the method for making up for watching the missed TV program and the user terminal, when the missed program of the user is played in a system, the user is reminded in time of watching the missed program, and a trouble that the user searches the missed program through the EPG is avoided.

Abstract:
A method for preventing simultaneous issuance of two multicast flows, comprising a process of ceasing the transmission of a multicast flow upon an internet protocol set-top box (IP STB) being switched on; the ceasing of the multicast flow transmission can be initiated by the IP STB or by communication entities on the network side. The method provided by the present invention prevents simultaneous issuance of two multicast flows and thus eliminates unfavorable consequences of simultaneous issuance of two multicast flows, including picture quality loss and even abnormal restart of an IP STB, therefore the user experiences will be improved and user satisfaction will be distinctively increased.
