摘要： A vehicle suspension assembly includes a device for securing an axle to a selected suspension component. A seat member that is received between the axle and the suspension component includes an axle adaptor as part of the seat member. A first portion of the seat member is received between the axle and the suspension component. A second portion of the seat member extends away from the first portion and includes at least one support surface for supporting a brake component relative to the axle. In one example embodiment, the seat member includes an integrated brake carrier.

摘要： A brake actuating apparatus includes a force transmission element operable to transmit a brake actuating force and an abutment member moveable to abut the force transmission element. A piezo-electric device operable on expansion applies a force between the abutment member and the force transmission element to move the force transmission element in a direction of brake actuation. A support member moveable independently of the abutment member supports the force transmission element in the new position following expansion of the piezo-electric device.

摘要： A caliper for a fixed twin rotor disc brake includes a relatively fixed body, two yokes movable axially with respect to the body, formations defined on the yokes for receiving four brake pads for respective application to rotor sides, and an actuator adapted to urge the yokes relatively axially. One of the yokes is operable to urge two of the four brake pads in a first axial direction, the other of the yokes is operable to urge the other two of the four brake pads in a second, opposite axial direction. The four brake pads are positioned on a first side of the actuator in the first axial direction.

摘要： A disc brake assembly includes a brake pad, a pad retainer, a brake caliper, and a pad spring. The pad retainer has a planar region situated at a first radius that engages a planar region of the pad spring to restrain radial movement of the brake pad. The pad retainer is secured to an outboard side of the caliper at a second radius and has a crook adjacent to the planar region to allow the second radius to be less than the first radius. The pad spring has a rounded edge adjacent to the crook.

The first part includes a single slide pin hole, the second part includes a first slide pin hole and a second slide pin hole, and the single slide pin hole is concentric with one of the first and second slide pin holes. The caliper further includes a first slide pin received in and supported by the single slide pin hole and the one of the first and second slide pin holes, and a second slide pin received in and supported by another of the first and second slide pin holes.

摘要： A diffuser (10) having a body (12) with a blind bore (18) having a closed impaction end (22). Fluids are diffused radially from the body (12) through slots (26). The diffuser (10) is characterized by a central slot (28), a lower slot (3) and an upper slot (32). The central slot (28) discharges a first fluid stream (34) substantially horizontally. The lower slot (30) discharges a second fluid stream (36) at an upward angle to impinge upon the first fluid stream (34). The upper slot (32) discharges a third fluid stream (38) at a downward angle to impinge upon the first fluid stream (34). The diffuser, as described above, has proven to be effective for use in aeration of water for aquaculture.
