摘要： An inkjet printhead assembly includes at least one inkjet printhead having nozzles and firing resisters. The inkjet printhead assembly includes fire pulse generator circuitry responsive to a start fire signal to generate fire signals, each having a series of fire pulses. The fire pulse generator circuitry generates the fire signals by controlling the initiation and duration of the fire pulses. The fire pulses control timing and activation of electrical current through the firing resisters to thereby control ejection of ink drops from the nozzles. One embodiment of the inkjet printhead assembly includes multiple printheads disposed on a carrier to form a wide-array inkjet printhead assembly.

摘要： A printhead assembly includes at least one printhead having an internal power supply path, a power regulator providing an offset voltage from the internal power supply path voltage, and multiple primitives. Each primitive includes a group of nozzles, a corresponding group of firing resisters, and a corresponding group of switches. The switches are controllable to couple a selected firing resister between the internal power supply path and the offset voltage to thereby permit electrical current to pass through the selected firing resister to cause a corresponding selected nozzle to fire.

摘要： An integrated circuit chip with a low voltage differential signaling receiver (LVDS). The receiver has first and second input lines, and an output line. The first input line is connected to a first input node on the chip, and the second input line connected via a termination resistor on the chip to a second input node on the chip. The second input line is connected to a third input node on the chip. The chip may be installed on a substrate with one or more identical chips, with the first nodes of each chip connected to a first conductor on the substrate, and a second conductor on the substrate connected to the third node of each chip. A second node on one of the chips is connected to the first conductor to involve the resistor.

The staggered firings may be achieved by delaying firing signals relative to others. 摘要： A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) converts a digital input signal having N bits to a substantially equivalent analog voltage output signal. A resistor string includes N resistors serially coupled between a ground node and the analog voltage output signal. Nodes 1 through (N−1) are defined at junctions between the N resistors and a node N is coupled to the analog voltage output signal. Each of N switchable current sources is controlled by a corresponding one of the N bits of the digital input signal to supply current to a corresponding one of the N nodes when its corresponding one of the N bits is in the first state and to not supply current to its corresponding one of the N nodes when its corresponding one of the N bits is in the second state.
