Abstract:
Systems and methods for facilitating gameplay within messaging feeds of a messaging application are described herein. A computing platform may be configured to present a messaging interface. The messaging interface may include a communication field displaying a messaging feed that reflects a communication session between the computing platform and one or more other computing platforms. Entry and/or selection of a game icon may effectuate presentation of a corresponding game within the messaging feed of the computing platform and/or other messaging feeds of the other computing platforms.
Abstract:
This disclosure presents systems and methods to provide a shared augmented reality experience across multiple presentation devices based on detection of one or more extraterrestrial bodies. A presentation device may be configured to detect presence of an extraterrestrial body. The presentation device may obtain resource information corresponding to the extraterrestrial body. The resource information may specify information specific to the extraterrestrial body including a location of the extraterrestrial body. The presentation device may generate an image of a virtual object. The image may be presented so that the virtual object may be perceived as being present at the location of the extraterrestrial body. The virtual object may augment the appearance of the extraterrestrial body. Gameplay may be carried out utilizing the virtual object.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the invention disclosed herein provide techniques for extending on-screen gameplay via an augmented reality (AR) system. An extended AR application executing on an AR headset system receives, via a game controller, first data associated with a first object associated with a computer-generated game. The extended AR application renders an augmented reality object based on the first data associated with the first object. The extended AR application displays at least a first portion of the augmented reality object via an augmented reality headset system. Further, an image associated with the computer-generated game is simultaneously rendered on a display monitor.
