摘要: The present invention relates a colored soda-lime glass which comprises iron in a quantity which, expressed in weight of the oxide Fe2O3 in relation to the total weight of glass, is greater than or equal to 0.5%, and less than or equal to 1.0 % (quantity of total iron), a ratio of Fe2+/total Fe (redox ratio) in the range of between 20 and 65 % and titanium in a quantity which, expressed in weight of TiO2 in relation to the total weight of glass, is greater than or equal to 1.0 %. This glass has a light transmission (TLA4) in the range of between 15 and 55 %, a total transmission in the ultraviolet (TUV4) of less than or equal to 30%, and a dominant wavelength in transmission λD of less than or equal to 491 nm. This glass can be used, for example, as side glazing, rear-view window, roof glazing or opening roof of a motor vehicle.

摘要: A process for forming a vitreous layer on a refractory surface, in which a vitrifying agent is projected by means of an apparatus against the surface with an oxygen-containing carrier gas and simultaneously with a combustible gas, the latter generating a combustion flame, characterized in that the vitrifying agent comprises particles of cullet and in that the flame generated provides, at least partially, the heat needed to form the vitreous layer on the surface. The vitreous layer thus formed makes it possible to prevent the build-up, on the refractory walls of high-temperature ovens, of dust or by-products coming from the raw materials and/or their reaction products.

The amount of ferrous iron by weight of Fe2+ atoms relative to the total weight of iron atoms present in the glass ranges between 25 and 45%. Said glass further comprises chromium and/or vanadium. The glass has a light transmission factor TLA4 ranging between 10 and 50% and an energy transmission wavelength less than 491 nm. Said glass is particularly suited for producing blue-tinted glazing for motor vehicles.
