摘要: The present invention provides a framework to facilitate interoperability and interactions with a plurality of line-of-business (LOB) applications. In particular, maps are populated with application or system design information such as semantic and technical data. The maps are subsequently employed by the framework to enable users to interact with common and consistent semantic terminologies over a common and consistent implementation technology. Consequently, users and/or client data applications are able interact effortlessly with semantically meaningful data from a plurality of heterogeneous LOB sources.

摘要: The subject invention pertains to systems and methods that facilitate generation of a database to support a multidimensional model. A database schema is generated in a top-down fashion. In particular, multidimensional structures and attributes such as cubes and dimensions can be defined. From such definition, a proposed database schema can be produced. This schema can subsequently be modified prior to or after populating the database. For example, a table or column could be added. Thereafter, the cubes and dimensions could be altered and a modified schema generated that preserves changes made to the schema. Accordingly, the subject systems and methods disclose an iterative approach that supports both top-down and bottom-up multidimensional database design.

摘要: A system that can facilitate automatic determination of relationships/patterns corresponding to data and appropriate mappings therewith is provided. One key concept is to employ idle time resources available when a computer is not being utilized to discover these relationships. In another aspect, the system can trigger relationship discovery in accordance with a predefined schedule. In other words, a user can specify when they would like the discovery to occur (e.g., time-based). The novel mapping components can employ different algorithms (e.g., heuristics, machine learning) to discover relationships between the sources and targets (e.g., destinations). When relationships and/or patterns are discovered, the system can notify a user to get confirmation that the mappings can be persisted. A tool or UI can be employed by a user to access and control flow of this information. As well, a repository (e.g., relationship repository) can be employed to store the information.

摘要: The metadata journal service records changes to an information system through client devices that send changes made to objects for recording in a server. A client calls the server when a metadata event is raised. A metadata event may be raised when an object is modified, created, or deleted. The client sends the object identifier of object involved in the metadata event to the server, along with schema objects and operations associated with the object. The server generates a unique key for the metadata event, and stores the objects along with their associated schema objects and operations in the metadata journal. The journal may be searched and queried to provide metadata analysis, such as lineage or impact analysis for an object in the system.

Such outlier detect component employs a cluster mining model to split data into normal and outlier data. 摘要: The subject disclosure pertains to databases as well as generation and utilization of keys. A desired or default number of values can be requested from a domain and allocated for use. These values can be utilized to generate surrogate keys. Subsequently or concurrently, the keys can be employed with respect to operations such as single pass loading of databases and/or data warehouses. Any unused keys can be returned and made available for use by other users or processes. Furthermore, the key generation functionality can be provided outside a database thereby relieving a database system of this burden.
