Abstract: A television receiver including a synchronizing arrangement for providing line and field drive pulses for line and field output stages, which synchronizing arrangement comprises a line oscillator control circuit for controlling the frequency and/or phase of a line oscillator the output signal of which is divided by a divider circuit to produce pulses of field frequency. The divider pulses are applied to a field coincidence stage together with received field synchronizing pulses where their phases are compared and the number of times there is coincidence is counted by a counter and to a controllable switch which also receives field synchronizing pulses from a field oscillator which is driven by received field synchronizing pulses. A mode selection circuit controls the operation of switch which switch is driven into an internal synchronization mode when coincidence is present in the field coincidence stage for a given period, in which mode divider pulses drive the field output stage, and into an external synchronization mode when the above coincidence is not present, in which mode pulses from the field oscillator drive the field output stage. In order to prevent a black bar appearing for a finite period on the display tube of the receiving when changing television channel or the camera is changed in the studio the line oscillator control circuit produces an output which output drives the switch from the internal to the external synchronization mode.

Abstract: An apparatus for the correction of East-West distortion of images produced on the screen of a picture tube. More particularly, it concerns an electronic circuit for dynamically controlling the AC component of the drive signal to an East-West amplifier (14) in a picture tube horizontal scanning system. Abstract: An electric fence wire insulator is formed as an integral, one-piece body of non-conductive synthetic resin and includes a transverse spark shield from which extends in one direction a pair of laterally spaced main legs terminating in a pair of laterally spaced feet configured to abut the arcuate or flat surface of a wooden or metal fence post. Openings through the feet receive nails or screws by which to secure the feet to the fence post. Projecting in the opposite direction from the spark shield are five laterally spaced fingers provided with inwardly facing arcuate grooves which are aligned transversely for the reception of an electric fence wire. Laterally spaced secondary legs inwardly of the main legs are shaped to provide two pairs of split circular retainers of different diameters for the frictional retention of different size rod type fence posts. Inwardly facing sockets on the main legs adjacent the feet frictionally grip between them the laterally extending arms of a T type fence post, the central leg of which may extend into the space between the split retainers of the secondary legs. A pair of shoulders on the main legs are spaced from the spark shield to form a pair of grooves therebetween for the reception of the U-shaped mounting end of a stand-off wire the opposite of which is formed with an open loop for the removable reception of an electric fence wire.

Abstract: An interface device for selectively accessing two internal signal paths of an integrated circuit through a single external connection pin.
