    摘要: A fuel control system, throttle valve unit therefor and methods of making the same are provided, the system comprising a burner, a source of fuel for the burner, and a throttle valve unit for interconnecting the source to the burner, the throttle valve unit having a movable valve member and a valve seat controlled by the valve member, the throttle valve unit having an electrically operated unit operatively associated with the valve member to control the position of the valve member relative to the valve seat so as to control the flame height at the burner, the electrically operated unit comprising a fixed magnet unit and a movable magnet unit each of which is adapted to provide a magnetic field that will react with the other magnetic field, one of the magnet units having an electrical conductor that is adapted to vary the force of its magnetic field in relation to the magnitude of an electrical current passing therethrough whereby the valve member is adapted to be positioned relative to the valve seat in relation to the effect created between the magnetic fields.

    摘要: A tag for identifying an item to which it is attached includes an inductance connected in parallel with a capacitance. The capacitance includes a plurality of individual capacitors, each of a predetermined different capacitance. The individual capacitors are connected to the inductance to establish a resonant circuit having a predetermined resonant frequency. At least one of the capacitors includes a dimple for shorting the capacitor when the tag is exposed to electromagnetic energy at the predetermined resonant frequency. The shorted capacitor establishes a second resonant frequency which may be used to identify which capacitor has become shorted. A binary "1" is assigned to either the shorted capacitor or the non shorted capacitor and a binary "0" is assigned to the capacitors which are not assigned a binary "1", the binary "1"s and "0"s combining to establish a numeric code uniquely associated with the tag.

    摘要: A temperature probe for use with an air conditioning device of the type including a heat exchanger subject to possible freeze-up, such as an evaporator tube array. The probe includes a substantially rigid support member having an elongated portion with a temperature sensor mounted thereto, as within a recess therein, for insertion into the tube array. Electrical temperature signals from the sensor are transmitted, as by electrical leads, to a use location and device. The rigid support member of the probe includes a limiting portion extending transversely of the elongated portion for limiting insertion into the tube array and thereby positioning the sensor. A second temperature sensor may be located on the support member so as to be external of the tube array for developing the air temperature signal. Both sensors may be thermistors. The elongated portion of the support member is sized for close-fitting insertion between a pair of fins which normally extend transversely of the tube runs. A protective covering may insulate the sensors and electrical leads from mechanical damage and/or electrical contact with the fins.
