摘要:
Systems and methods defining a service oriented object framework for use in providing an open application environment facilitating application function integration are shown. Embodiments provide object life management, platform resources management, and event management capabilities. A multi-layer architecture, defining object layers within an application container, may be used. A primary layer of such an architecture may comprise infrastructure objects providing foundational element blocks embodying protocol specific functions of the services that are to be built on top of a development container. An intermediate layer of such an architecture may comprise service objects providing service level functions. An upper layer of such an architecture may comprise business objects providing application orchestration element blocks defining the logical application created by combining the foregoing objects. Embodiments implement a framework that provides utilities that enable the object hierarchy to interact and function on top of a corresponding development container platform.

A query generator for generating a query for retrieving data from a database comprising at least one table is disclosed. The query refers to one or more data items in a first view defined to expose a portion of the database and to one or more data items that are not exposed by the first view, at least one of which has an associated reach through flag set thereby defining it as a reach through item. The query generator is adapted to: a) receive user input indicating selected items to be retrieved from the database; b) ascertain whether any of the selected items that are not exposed by the first view are defined as reach through items; and, c) if so: i) create a second view that is a copy of the first view and add a copy of each reach through item to it; and ii) create a query that refers only to the second view and the items exposed by it.

Facilitating identification of star schemas in database environments. In an embodiment, queries are examined to determine the joins required. The two tables of each join are added as a relationship in the star schema.

Facilitating identification of star schemas in database environments. In an embodiment, queries directed to relational database tables (organized according to normalized schema) are examined to determine the relationships specified in the queries. A star schema is then generated by including the specified relationships. A data warehouse may be organized according to the generated star schema and the data previously stored in the database tables may be copied to the data warehouse.

A method of rewriting a Structured Query Language (SQL) statement in order to prevent processing of a join between a master table and a detail table in a database is disclosed. The method includes determining in the SQL statement a unique identifier to a row of the master table. The unique identifier is then equated to an identifier to related rows of the detail table using the join condition. A revised SQL statement may then be produced that only refers to the detail table using the identifier to the rows of the detail table. Subsequently, the revised SQL statement is processed.

Disclosed are systems and methods which provide high availability with respect to equipment deployed in a distributed system architecture. The distributed system architecture may comprise one or more equipment clusters of a plurality of processor-based systems cooperating to host one or more application servers. Redundancy is provided with respect to equipment of the equipment clusters to provide high availability with respect to equipment used in providing services of the application servers as well as to provide continuity of applications provided by the application servers. Various equipment elements of an equipment cluster may be provided different levels and/or types of redundancy. Other equipment elements of an equipment cluster may be provided different levels and/or types of redundancy. Equipment elements may operate to assign sessions to particular equipment elements for load balancing

A guard for repelling rats and other animals from entering a toilet bowl fixture installed on a wax sealing ring. The guard comprises a guard tube and a plurality of flexible, resilient wires having their base ends attached to circumferentially-spaced points of the tube and their free ends extending longitudinally and radially inward in a generally truncated, conelike formation. When the toilet is flushed, the wires spread radially outward to permit human waste and wads of toilet paper to easily pass. When an animal attempts to enter a toilet bowl fixture from an attached sewer line, however, pressure by the animal against the wires moves the wires radially inward to obstruct passage of the animal.
