摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods which provide high availability with respect to equipment deployed in a distributed system architecture. The distributed system architecture may comprise one or more equipment clusters of a plurality of processor-based systems cooperating to host one or more application servers. Redundancy is provided with respect to equipment of the equipment clusters to provide high availability with respect to equipment used in providing services of the application servers as well as to provide continuity of applications provided by the application servers. Various equipment elements of an equipment cluster may be provided different levels and/or types of redundancy. Other equipment elements of an equipment cluster may be provided different levels and/or types of redundancy. Equipment elements may operate to assign sessions to particular equipment elements for load balancing

摘要: A modular system for enabling a distribution of fluids, including a plurality of individual fluid path blocks that can be joined to substrate plates and component interfacing blocks to form gas sticks and gas panels. Each gas path block will have a fluid passageway with an entrance port and exit port accessing a common surface. Active components are mounted to the interfacing blocks, with each gas path block extending and interconnecting across immediately adjacent components in a stick or immediately adjacent sticks. Alignment features are provided to ensure that entrance and exit ports are accurately positioned to facilitate sealing.

摘要: The invention provides a reactor apparatus including a fluid bed reactor containing a media bed composed of particulate solids and biomass adhered thereto. The reactor apparatus also includes a biomass monitoring system for measuring changes in the size of the media bed and for activating a biomass growth control system when conditions with the reactor call for removal of excess biomass. The biomass monitoring system includes a vertical tubular member that is supported in the reactor and that serves to isolate a parameter or condition indicative of the size of the media bed. The biomass monitoring system also includes a sensing device for measuring changes in the isolated parameter or condition, and a mechanism for activating the biomass growth control system when signaled by the sensing device.

摘要: A fastening device for ski boots. The device has a control means, an adjustment means and a strap assembly. The control means is operatable by a user and drives the adjustment means, which is coupled to the strap assembly. The adjustment means includes a gear set and a threaded rod, which allows for a very fine adjustment of the strap assembly and as a result a very fine adjustment of the fit of the boot on a skier's foot. Magnets may also be provided in the control means in a manner that allows the control means to maintain its position.

摘要: A method for generating a presentation of a region-of-interest in an original image for display on a display surface, the method comprising: establishing a lens for the region-of-interest, the lens having a focal region with a magnification for the region-of-interest at least partially surrounded by a shoulder region across which the magnification varies to provide a continuous transition from the focal region to regions outside the lens; receiving a first signal for selecting the shoulder region; while receiving the first signal, receiving a second signal for selecting the focal region and for adjusting a position of the focal region relative to the shoulder region to define a degree and a direction of a folding of the focal region over the shoulder region for the lens; and, applying the lens to the original image to produce the presentation.
