摘要： An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The OLED display includes: a display panel assembly including a first substrate having a display area and a mounting area, a second substrate coupled to the display area of the first substrate, and an integrated circuit chip mounted in the mounting area of the first substrate; a cover window disposed opposite the second substrate and the integrated circuit chip and covering the display panel assembly; and an adhesive layer which fills up a space between the second substrate and the cover window, and a space between the mounting area of the first substrate and the cover window.

摘要： A flat panel display apparatus capable of preventing a reduction in yield due to dark spots thereof, and a method of compensating for the dark spots are disclosed. The apparatus includes: a display unit including a plurality of pixels, each pixel including a subpixel of a first color, a subpixel of a second color and a subpixel of third color, where the first color, the second color and the third color are different from each other; an image signal input unit; a dark spot detection unit configured to detect a color and location of a dark spot subpixel that comprises a dark spot; a neighboring subpixel detection unit configured to identify location of one or more neighboring same color subpixels that are adjacent to the dark spot subpixel and having the same color as the dark spot subpixel; a luminance detection unit configured to detect a luminance of the one or more neighboring same color subpixels; and a control unit configured to coordinate increasing the luminance of all or a subset of the one or more neighboring same color subpixels.

An image display device may include a display unit displaying an image according to an image signal; a sensor unit measuring a spectrum of external light incident on the display unit; and a correction signal providing unit estimating an adapted primary color spectrum perceived by a viewer using spectral reflectivity of the display unit, a maximum level primary color spectrum of the display unit, and the spectrum of external light, and providing a correction signal for correcting the image signal based on the adapted primary color spectrum.
