    摘要: A connection system is provided for use with scaffolding to secure laterally extending support members to upright standards. Latching rings permanently secured at intervals along the upright standards are provided with primary latching openings, each of which has a central region of limited breadth with oppositely directed narrower radial elongations of uniform width throughout. The radial elongations of the primary latching openings are located so as to reside in vertical registration with longitudinally elongated apertures formed in flanges of brackets that are secured to laterally extending scaffold support elements. Wedges are carried by the brackets and can be fully engaged only when the laterally extending support members are in precise, orthogonal alignment relative to the upright standards. Preferably, secondary latching ring openings are provided to accommodate diagonal braces to enhance the rigidity of the scaffolding support.

    摘要: An improved walk-through scaffolding frame is constructed of components which may be assembled together to form an erected frame and disassembled to pass through a narrow opening such as a manhole or some other narrow access opening to a larger enclosure. The improved walk-through scaffolding is constructed with a pair of generally triangular-shaped upright support members and a connecting crosspiece. The upright support members each define a single downwardly directed tubular leg as well as upwardly extending inner and outer support posts. The crosspiece includes downwardly directed connectors which telescopically engage both the inner and outer support posts of each of the pair of upright support members and an upwardly directed connector at its outer extremity for engaging a downwardly directed leg of another walk-through frame located thereabove. The upright support members and the crosspiece may be quickly and easily disassembled without tools to pass through very narrow manhole-type openings and reassembled without tools to erect scaffolding.

    摘要: The present invention is an improved construction perimeter guard stanchion. A dual adjustment system performs both coarse and fine adjustments to tightly clamp a pair of jaws at the lower end of the stanchion upon the edge of a floor slab in an elevated, unfinished building structure. A coarse jaw adjustment sleeve formed of a short section of hollow steel tubing is coaxially disposed about an outboard support member in sliding engagement therewith. The coarse adjustment sleeve has one or more perforations therethrough so that a locking pin can be passed through it and through aligned openings in the outboard support member. A fine adjustment screw member is disposed coaxially within a vertical rail support tube and may be rotated by lever arms to move the upper jaw closer to or further from the lower jaw. Adjustment of the fine positioning mechanism is performed by manipulating handles at the top of the vertical rail support tube. A workman installing the stanchion thereby does not have to stoop over to operate a clamp located down near the concrete slab.
