    Abstract: A domestic oven (1) comprising a heatable oven cavity (2) having a frontal opening (3), and a door (4) for closing said frontal opening (3), wherein the door (4) comprises a first door wing (5) and a second door wing (6), wherein each door wing (5, 6) comprises a first vertical edge (7, 8) that is mounted pivotally about a vertical axis (a, a′) respectively on one of the opposite sides (9, 10) of said frontal opening (3) to a structure (11) of the domestic oven (1) for a movement between a closed position (c) and an open position (b) of the door (4), wherein in said closed position (c) of the door (4) the door wings (5, 6) form a vertical gap (12) between adjacent second vertical edges (13, 14) of either door wing (5, 6).

    Abstract: A control method for operating a cooking oven in a deep-frying program which is configured for a predetermined set temperature is disclosed, wherein the cooking oven has an oven cavity, a tray arranged within the oven cavity, a bottom heating element for heating the bottom of the cavity, a fan located at the rear wall of the cavity, and a ring heating element surrounding the fan. The method comprises the following stages: (a) a heat-up phase in which the ring heating element is continuously operated and the bottom heating element is intermittently operated, the heat-up phase being conducted until reaching a temperature of the oven cavity which corresponds to the set temperature plus a predetermined first hysteresis; (b) a subsequent holding phase in which the bottom heating element and the ring heating element are non-operative; and (c) a frying phase conducted upon reaching a temperature within the oven cavity which corresponds to the set temperature minus a predetermined second hysteresis, the frying phase comprising continuously or intermittently operating the ring heating element, and intermittently operating the bottom heating element so as to raise the temperature within the oven cavity to a temperature which corresponds to the set temperature plus a predetermined third hysteresis.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a door opening system for a domestic appliance (10) including at least one pivoting door (12). The door opening system comprises at least one door hinge (14) and at least one hook mechanism (16). The hook mechanism (16) includes a hook element (26) engaged or engageable with a recess (28) in a closed state of said door (12), so that the hook element (26) and the recess (28) form a snap-in mechanism. The hook element (26) is disengaged or disengageable from the recess (28) by operating a control element or said hook element (26). The door hinge (14) includes a stationary hinge part (18) and a pivoting hinge part (20). The stationary hinge part (18) is provided for a support structure of the domestic appliance (10), while the pivoting hinge part (20) is provided for the pivoting door (12). The stationary hinge part (18) is arranged or arrangeable horizontally inside or at the support structure of the domestic appliance (10). The stationary hinge part (18) comprises a first spring element (22) and a second spring element (24) provided for generating horizontal forces in the mounted state of the door hinge (14) at the domestic appliance (10). The first spring element (22) is provided for keeping the door (12) balanced within an outer opening angular range of said door (12). The second spring element (24) is provided for generating an opening force for the door (12) within an inner opening angular range, so that the door (12) is pushed into a partially opened state. The inner opening angular range extends between a closed state and the partially opened state of the door (12). The outer opening angular range extends between the partially opened state and a completely opened state of the door (12).
